I'm talking about people vacationing or just making money. The same could have been said about Christopher Columbus, the pioneers, all the wagon train leaders leading adverturous new Americans hoping to settle the Wild West and make their fortunes, and last but not least the astronauts of today. Men of courage, strength and willing to take risks are the men (and women) who founded this country.

If you're taking risks that we warned you not to take, for your own selfish greed, why should we have to bail you out? If you want to take that risk, go for it. But don't expect me to take the risk for your profit.

I travel overseas. Sometimes I go into dangerous places. But I do NOT expect the US to come save me if I get caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is nice if State can and does help, but any traveler is just plain silly if he thinks that he is safe or has any "rights" beyond our borders. You do the best you can, but it is still chancy and that is true if you're on a cruise ship in the Carribean or traveling in SE Asia or if you are heading to Mars.
