Whatever....I guess anything reported by Fox should be discounted....not talked about....ignored. OkThat's my policy for FOX Breaking News. Consultation of the State Department's Travel Warnings instead would be more prudent and accurate.

How about being safe from the enemy who make seek to take then hostage or specifically target them for death? That's what would scare me s***less. I'd be doubly scared s***less if Jimmy Carter were in office.

Anyone with a little common sense wouldn't be in this area to begin with. There is no excuse for being in this region unless you work for an embassy. I really get tired of people getting into this situation and then bawling around because they find themselves stuck for reasons that we see now and have seen in the past.

You know, there are a lot of folks who serve democracy, America and freedom as civilians.
My hats off to them.
And I dont see anyone bawling around over there

Fox news just did an interview with a person and their family on vacation. Said they just didn't know what they were to do.

Maybe I can hitch a ride from the French.
Don't let them know you post at FR. Put a white flag in your pocket so they'll think you're French. Tell 'em Zidane got a raw deal. Then maybe they'll let you on one of the ships.

Anyone with a little common sense wouldn't post such a xenophobic statement. You really need to get out and about a bit more.
And pardon me for trying to help out a fledging democratic government when a war broke out. I am so sorry to have inconvenienced you!

Keep safe fellow Freeper!
Avoid any Embassy or any form of public transportation.
Find a tent out in the desert and enjoy some time with nature. Even Jesus took solitude in the desert.
This will blow over soon, but I want you and your family out of the danger zone.

Hi, Rebel Yell 2!!!
You must be keeping your sanity if you can write words like "xenophobic." LOL.
Glad you have been there to help the Lebanese, who -- many don't know -- are Christians sympathetic to the West.
Sending you best wishes since there is nothing else I know of to do, and praying that repatriation comes soon for you.

I gave examples of who I wasn't talking about. If your helping somehow like embassy or in some other capacity my statement, if you read it doesn't include you. I'm talking about people vacationing or just making money. This region is dangerous and risky regardless if a war just broke out or not and if venturing into this region do so at your own risk. As long as groups like Hesbula or Hamas exist, this area will have no peace.

To: rebel_yell2
LOL, well said. I apologize for having told you you´d be out within 4 days. This timeline has passed. Sorry. While thousands of Europeans are already on back or on their way through Syria to Turkey, this is not an option for Americans - for good reasons. I still include you in my prayers and all others who are trapped. I really don´t understand why the Lebanese and Israeli governments can find a solution on this - I mean, obviously the Lebanese PM is on the good side (= against Hezbollah). The runway could be repaired within hours, and planes from Europe easily evacuate you... I thought such a scenario would have been made real until now. Anyway, keep your humor and your optimism!! :-)

I heard the Lebanese PM in an interview this morning. He sounded like an hysterical palestinian, blaming all troubles on the Jews. No accepting responsibility for not ousting hezbelluh. He sounded like all the other leftist spin artists out there.

Ok, I haven´t listened to him, but he said he wanted to restore the souveranity of Lebanon IN ALL PARTS (= that means to eliminate Hezbollah´s influence). Of course he cannot praise Israel´s actions, but I know that many Lebanese go along with that if it really knocks Hezbollah out.
