If Lebanon is a signatory to the Geneva Convention, the International Red Cross should have the right to interview the kidnapped Israeli soldiers? Particularly because Hezbollah is part of the Lebanonese government.

Lebanon is not involved in the conflict. Lebanon is merely the site of the conflict.

The benefit of surrogate armies is never having to say you're sorry.

"If Lebanon is a signatory to the Geneva Convention,"

Ahhh..the toothless tiger U.N. Israel kept it's promise by evacuating Southern Lebanon in 2000 in return for Lebanon removing Hizbullah military influence along the border.
Well,,, guess who broke that agreement? Now the UN condemns Israel but did absolutely nothing to enforce it's own previous resolution to have Hizbullah removed. Kofi too busy making $$ in backhanded corruption schemes.
