Whether we call it World War III or not the war on terror in many ways threatens our very way of life and existence that previous wars did not.

They were to some extend restricted to country versus country though obviously World War I and II was more than one country and more than one continent.

The WOT though is one ideology against another and the Islamic ideology not only hates everything the west is and stands for but has the religious zeal and will to destroy it if we do not break their will and destroy them first.

There is no negotiating with them we are infidels and the great western whore and people need to wake up to that. Islam hates and wants to destroy Christianity and the western civilizations that was created and based on the judo/Christian philosophy even if these very countries have in many ways turned their back on their heritage.

I dont think there is a serious person in Washington right now , that does not understand that sooner or later, the US is going to have to blast those bastards back to the stone age if we are going to protect ourselves.

This is true, but only internally. The American socialists are a bigger threat to our "way of life" right now than any terrorist.

Islamofascists will never be able to shut down international trade INCLUDING OIL SHIPMENTS the way the German and Japanese submarines nearly did.

In the 40's, we had to have Merchant Marine convoys to merely move flour and gas across the sea. Even Iran shutting down Hormuz, while messy, doesn't create such a gigantic problem as was faced in WWII.....additionally, belligerant action costs the belligerant (Iran can't ship oil either.)

Another 9/11 or suitcase nuke in the Houston Ship Channel is not a threat to our existence. It will galvanize America (temporarily.)

McCarthy was right, communists were infiltrating American society/govt, but the end result of all his work was to let the term "anti-American" become associated with a sympathetic/wrongly accused cause....and we suffer for that today.

Hear, hear! Now, if some Christian leaders would stop cozying up to the "peaceful" Mooselims (while censuring and condemning Israel) ... we need clearly delineated positions here, not conciliation with the enemy.
