Diane Feinstein on CNN now - suggesting Clinton and Bush 41 be sent over to negotiate a cease fire.

Made in Syria in camel tents, Syria defense plants, with or without knowledge of the Assad govt.???

Yep CNN is definitely a multicultural, all world metrosexual biased organized PR arm of most terrorist organizations and especially the Hate America First crowd known as the radical Democrat leadership.

Nasrallah: We'll surprise Israel

In first televised appearance since Israel launched intensified air strikes in Southern Lebanon, Hizbullah leader, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said that Israel has failed in hitting organization's missile reserves and that it targeted innocent civilians instead

Ynetnews

In a first televised appearance since Israel launched intensified air strikes in Southern Lebanon, Hizbullah leader, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said that Israel has failed in hitting the organization's missile reserves and that it targeted innocent civilians instead.

"Israel doesn't know our capabilities in every level," Nasrallah said. "The Zionist enemy has not succeeded in infiltrating our group," he added.

"If Israel thinks that our missiles cannot reach beyond Haifa and Tiberias, then it is wrong. If you think Hizbullah cannot stand firm in this confrontation, then your government and army ate deceiving you," he told the Israeli citizens.

Hizbullah tries not to hurt innocent civilians, the group leader said, "but when Israel crosses all the red lines, we have to do the same."

A look at Hizbullah's Fajar-3 missile

By ASSOCIATED PRESS

Hizbullah guerrillas launched a Fajar-3 missile at Haifa on Sunday for the first time in an attack that killed eight people. Here are some details on the missile:

Origin: The Fajr-3 is an Iranian-made medium range ballistic missile. Iran announced its first successful test of the missile in April, saying it was the most advanced missile in its arsenal, was invisible to radar and could hold multiple warheads that could attack several targets at the same time.

Specifications: The Fajar-3 has a range of 45 kilometers and can carry a 45 kilogram warhead, making it far more deadly than the Katyusha rocket.

Iran funds Hezbollah to the tune of about $100 million per year. But where does Hezbollah train/fester--isn't it mostly in Lebanon and Syria?

It seems like a two-pronged problem: funding and geographical safe harbors. Just thinking out loud.

Based on 2004 TOEs, Iran is roughly equal to what Iraq was in early 2003. Syria, way down the food chain.

Syria and Iran signed a mutual defense treaty within the last two months.

Israel has to be careful not to overplay their hand.
If they strike Syria without a blatant strike directly from Syria first, they will be seen as the aggressors and not just as defending themselves.

I caught part of the Feinstein segment too. She was saying that Hezbollah must be stopped, that their goal is to wipe out Israel. About Israel having the right to defend itself we have Hillary, Feingold, and Feinstein so far saying similar things. Very interesting indeed.

On the other hand, [Israel] does not want the Syrian regime to fall. What comes after would be much worse from Israel's point of view.

Are you sure about that?

While I agree with your point, this is the way I see it playing out which leaves Israel free to concentrate on Syria.

1. Things finally escalate to the point that Israel starts taking out Syrian military assets.

2. The US stays out of this since while we are in Iraq, we also have to be mindful of the Shitte population in there, (we will be needed to take out Iranian assets which would be hard if the Iraqi populous is in an uproar) so we only take a role from a "defending Iraq" standpoint. In that function we take out anything that flees east from Syria.

3. Iran "comes to the defense" of Syria. There is only one way to get there and that is through Iraq. At this point Iran an in essense invaded Iraq and we can still take the defensive role in the overall senerio by stopping Iran and decapitating their millitary effectiveness.

This also prevents us from fighting on two major fronts in Iraq. It puts us in the strategic catbirds seat. Of course this is just my personal assessment of a best case senerio if this is going to go hot for the entire region and I'm not a military strategist.

One puzzle piece, alluded to in our earlier discussion, takes Iran off the board, conventionally, whether they agree or not.

1. Syria cannot stand without Iran.

2. Hezbollah cannot stand without Syria.

3. Topple the central domino and all the rest go by themselves.

4. Ignore the central pillar, and toppling all the subordinate dominoes has no effect.

5. Help is on the way, at about 33 miles per hour, published. ***

1. TRUE

2. Probably True but they are really creatures of Iran.

3. Not so sure but I agree that Iran has no easy way to fight a ground war in Lebanon. In fact they have no way to do so and so you are right, they need surrogates.

4. Disagree. If Syria sits tight and Iran sits tight and Israel destroys the Hezbollah militia and their arms and chases them back to Syria and helps Lebanon take and keep control of the South then Israel will declare victory. Of course that is a lot of ANDs.

5. I give up. What is moving at 33 MPH?
