San Francisco -- Dozens of protesters carrying banners and Lebanese flags rallied at City Hall on Saturday, condemning Israel's attacks on targets in Lebanon as barbaric and illegal.
"We're trying to raise some awareness with the American public about what's going on," said Mohamad Charafeddine, a Stanford University doctoral student who organized the protest. "It's unacceptable."
About 50 people, mostly members of the Bay Area's Lebanese community, took part in the demonstration.
The protest came as Israel intensified its air assault on Lebanon, striking Hezbollah strongholds and bombing central Beirut for the first time.

Yes, it's amazing to me how many liberals are anti-Semitic. It's been interesting to read the DU boards lately. I think some of the liberal jewish people on there (those of them who still care about their heritage anyway) are shocked at the vile comments spewing from their fellow libs.
Just a little liberal tolerance at its best. I have always wondered how conservatives got the label as the intolerant ones in society.
No Charafeddine, it is not the least you can do. Leave your cushy little American home and return immediately to Lebanon and you can be cannon fodder for your glorious Hezbollah. Go! Go now!

Why weren't they protesting when Hezbollah was rocketing Israel almost every week?
Lebanon has had 21 yrs. of civil war, but it has not been enough to teach them not to align themselves with terrorism.
Lebanon has really earned the right to be attacted for letting Hezbollah operate in it's territory. Sorry, Lebanon but you have asked for trouble and deserve what you get. You do not deserve sympathy. Now is the time to pay up.
