Then you see that Iraqis are out in numbers, protesting Israel's right to exist and praising the Hizbollah terrorists.

This will cause life for our troops in Iraq to get alittle sticky. The US backing Israel and trying to settle things in Iraq. Sigh. I don't think Iraqis give a hoot about Democracy.

From where we sit in America- it may well look that way sometimes. We were talking about this earlier...the western mind..does not easily understand the middle eastern mind.

For us- the only thing we've ever known is a free society and an elected government. I can't imagine the way my mind would view "democracy" had we lived in a totalitarian country like Iraq has been for so many years, can you?

For now...freedom to an Iraqi is a very different concept than it is to us. The responsibility part will come with time.
