Israel is saying more than 100 Iranian troops are in Lebanon.
Israel says the drone was from China and built in Iran.

If the Palestinians had any brains, they'd realize they've been used as sacrificial victims since the 20s by forces outside of their area...and point their anger at the people who have used them so badly.
But they won't see outside the box, and so they doom themselves and their children to misery.Islamic mentality has a high sado-masochistic component. If they cannot dominate the Jews then being the victim and playing the victim will do. Muslims are addicted to this perverted drama. I promise you they get their rocks off when Israel wails on them
Drama drama drama. That is what Islamics love. Peace and scientific progress is boring to them

Anthony Bourdain This is the guy who recently dedicated an entire show to bashing Republicans in the House for having the nerve to suggest that we crack down on illegal aliens. Beyond that, I don't know his politics, but with a name that sounds French, I have a pretty good guess.

The following is the third dispatch in the series on Iran and the recent escalation on Israel's borders. [1] During July 12-14, 2006, the Iranian, Lebanese, and Syrian media published articles and statements on the emerging conflict between Israel and Hizbullah. The following are excerpts: IRANIAN REACTIONS President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: Iran is Doing its Best to Maintain a Constructive Approach to the Nuclear Issue; Any Problem Created for Iran in the Region Will Be Detrimental for Everyone In a telephone conversation with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said: "If the regime that occupies Jerusalem perpetrates the foolish...

Sharon missing from the fray 07/15/2006 8:26:47 AM EDT

ONE man is missing from the military crisis. Far from the sound and fury of battle on the Israeli-Lebanese border, Ariel Sharon lies in a coma in a clinic in a Tel Aviv suburb. The former Israeli Prime Minister, once a general and a war hero, has been on hand for almost every decisive moment in the countrys short history, but is absent from the fray. Instead, his sons Omri and Gilad and his wife, Inbal, take it in turns to watch over the 78-year-old in his bright room with its picture window in the Sheba Medical Centre. Close friends...

Until even a week ago the conventional wisdom was that there is not going to be another major war in the Middle East involving Israel. Now even the most optimistic observers are no longer sure. Meeting in Saint Petersburg this weekend, the leaders of the G-8 may try to stop a broader war, almost at the last minute. But, can they? The reasons why a broader war may be in the cards are not hard to fathom. Israel, facing what is a pincer operation by both Hamas in the occupied territories and the Hezbollah in Lebanon believes it is facing...
IDF : Missile that hit ship was Iranian 07/15/2006 7:48:46 AM EDT
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1666153/posts Ynet ^
A senior IDF officer said the ship was struck by an Iranian-made C802 missile, but he refused to say whether or not Iranian activists were behind the launching itself. The army said two C802 missiles were fired at the vessel; the first missed the ship and struck an Egyptian boat some 60 kilometers (37 miles) off the Lebanon coast. The stern of the ship was hit shortly after 8:30 p.m. Friday night and a conflagration ignited on the helicopter landing pad. The hit also damaged the ships internal operating systems.

Paris (dpa) - European countries had begun evacuating their citizens from Lebanon Saturday in the face of the ongoing military Israeli offensive and blockade on the country. Italy and Spain had already acted to move their citizens to safety, while Britain and France were preparing similar operations. The Italian Embassy in Beirut had helped 420 foreigners, including 300 Italians, to evacuate from Beirut by bus to safer areas in northern Lebanon, Italian state television reported. Some 1,300 Italians live in Lebanon, most of whom "have been living in the country for years and want to remain there," the embassy said....
Hizballah Brings out Iranian Silkworm to Hit Israel Navy Corvette 07/15/2006 7:21:36 AM EDT · 84 replies · 1,881+ views

Hizballah Brings out Iranian Silkworm to Hit Israel Navy Corvette DEBKAfile Exclusive Military Analysis July 15, 2006, 1:37 PM (GMT+02:00) The disaster that overtook one of the Israeli Navys state of the art warships, Ahi-Hanit, was thoroughly planned in advance by an enemy which managed to take Israels military commanders by surprise. It has shocked Israels military to a degree comparable to the profound effect on US forces of al Qaedas 2000 attack on the USS Cole in Aden. The Saar-5 class corvette, with a crew of 61 seamen and a 10-man helicopter crew, was hit Friday, July 17 at...

Zogby, naturally, had to place some of the blame on the Israelis. The reason? Because Palestinians can't get fresh fruits and vegetables. Oh, the poor dears. The poor, poor dears, what with no fresh fruit and vegetables.< Pardon my French, but WTF?!!!
We watched a family comedy last night--no one else wanted to persevere in this, and since I have a 7 year old daughter, I figured she didn't need to be frightened.
Thanks for the update.
I'm glad there's a live main central thread for this.

Over the next 72 hours this Middle East Crisis will really begin to heat up. Israel has issued an ultimatum to Syria to stop all Hezbollah attacks. Syria has only until Monday to take action. In addition, there was a major Middle East Conference in the past few day to discuss this conflict. Syria and Iran still take the hard line. You can bet they were handing out $ millions in cash bribes. Also, Iran has covert operatives working in other nations. Iran is using oil profits to pay for covert operatives and Hezbollah attacks against Israel. In the Middle East, CA$H is king.

I believe they will. Their nuke plants will be taken out with American missiles.
Israel has missiles, which can do the job, and I suspect one Iranian nuclear reactor is going to be a pile of rubble soon.

It's ok to kill Israeli civilians and kidnap soldiers, long as people in Gaza can get fresh fruits and veggies? It's all a matter of priorities! And the number one priority is 5 a day! 5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables. See, it's all in the pyramid. And that's what keeps us healthy. Well, at least Palestinians healthy. (I hope I don't need a sarcasm tag here)
Oh man, if it weren't so deadly serious, it would be funny.
