another one hit also a little further away. They spent aboput 4 hours in the bunker...as he said "reading, listening to music and bullsh*tting". They were given 20 minutes to pack up their stuff in their rooms and get to the bus which arrived to take them to Tel Aviv...
That's the long version..they're in Tel Aviv and hopefully asleep, since it's rather early there. But I think they probably depleted the beer stocks of the hotel before pouring themselves into bed.
He's behaving like it's an adventure....he sounds fine. A little amazed at what is going on...and then being in the middle of it. Luckily he called and told us about it this am, before we saw it on the news.
All in all, an evetful day and, thank G-d, he is fine. He leaves Israel late Mon night for London but can't wait to go back, which he is supposed to do in August from Italy.

Greetings and love to all the Israeli people from my corner of California. As a non-Jewish American who has great respect for the Israeli people, I'm with you 1000%, and I'm proud that President Bush is basically staying out of your country's way while you do what you have to do.
It seems so... I put on CNN just now and they had some interview with Dan Rather (!). I figured... things must be quiet.
However I did read earlier today that Israel had promised to stop for a bit to allow Americans (and others?) to get out.
I apologize if people have posted this before.
