Okay, after listening to the shows tonight and the talking heads, I have a few questions.
1) What exactly is Israel "occupying," according to all the Arab-leaning spokespeople.
2) Did anybody besides me notice that whenever questions were ask, they all said about the same thing, that Israel was the agreesor, that Israel was occupying Palestinian lands, and that the only way it was going to stop was to have an INTERNATIONAL PEACE CONFERENCE?
***After I heard that, I started thinking that they have something else up their sleeve, like maybe they think a big world wide peace conference would get them what they haven't been able to get.
Next question:
3) Isn't Hamas in charge of Gaza now? Why are they all saying that Israel is occupying it? How can they blame Israel for THEIR lack of ability to govern their own territory?
I'm at a loss -- except to think that they aren't in touch with reality.
Israel

Same old crap. The best way to have peace is for Israel to wipe out the terrorists and their supporters.
Israel's army chief, Lt. Gen. Dan Halutz, said Hezbollah has rockets that can reach as far as 70 kilometers (43.5 miles) or more, which would bring more Israeli cities, such as Hadera, within range. (AP)
Hezbollah rams Israeli warship with drone, 4 sailors missing in action

After hitting an Israeli warship with an unmanned aircraft rigged with explosives, Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets at Israel's navy blockading Lebanon but missed its target and struck a civilian ship, the Israeli army said early Saturday.
The attack on the warship off Beirut's Mediterranean coast could indicate Hezbollah has added a new weapon to the arsenal of rockets and mortars it has used against Israel.
Searches were under way to find four Israeli sailors who disappeared in the attack, Israeli military officials said. The warship, which suffered heavy damage and was set on fire, was towed back to the Israeli port of Haifa.
After the fire was extinguished, it became clear that four soldiers were missing. Their families were notified soon thereafter.
Israel Defense Forces teams, with the help of planes, helicopters and additional vessels, were searching for the missing troops at the site of the blast. The ship was towed back to Israel.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 P.M., causing a fire close to the helicopter landing pad onboard, Haaretz reported. The ship's steering mechanism also sustained some damage.
Several hours after the vessel was hit, an Israel Defense Forces spokeswoman acknowledged that the damage was worse than originally thought.
Israel kept their word to the world/security council when they vacated Gaza, the Muslims didn't keep one word of their promise to leave Israel alone if they did leave Gaza. These people lie and cannot be trusted to ever sign a contract or keep their word on anything.
A bit earlier tonight, when I found myself listening to Sean Hannity talk to John McCain, (who was standing outside of a barn in Iowa), I realized that it was a painful experience to try to figure out what was going on.

Gaza currently, southern Lebanon in 24 to 48 hours, prime strategic real estate in the Golan.

Lots of factors in play here. Muslim countries have to pander to internal sentiment, as well as pay respect to global alliances. That's why you'll see two completely different statements for internal versus external distribution.
Bush has to play both sides too, but he gave Israel an unlimited green light a couple days ago. That won't change until alliances start looking shaky from internal pressure, or until Israel gets greedy.
Russia and France know that Iran either planned this, or else will be drawn into it. They don't want their client state put out of the nuke business.
The US Left was caught flat-footed by this, and have yet to spin up to full speed, but when they do, they will blame everything on Bush, and advocate the precise opposite of whatever Bush says. When they gain momentum, the ME will follow suit to a degree, but SA Jordan and Kuiwait can't afford to have Iran in charge, bottom line.
Iran and Syria...well...this is either part of a much larger plan, or else they see themselves being drawn in, and therefore Israel is the enemy.
That covers the big dogs.

Well they were, until a couple weeks ago. Israel is in north limited, and other points, basically setting up for overrunning it if the need arises. You know Hamas, they squeal if the shadow of an Israeli passenger aircraft "massacres" their wretched refuse from teeming Muslim shores.
How many guys from Jenin does it take to pave a road?
Two, if you spread them real thin.
Israel is occupying Israel....the Arabs want it erased and replaced with Palestine.
