I do believe the candy bar did help. d:o) BTW....I uninstalled Quicktime because I COULDN'T GET ANY MUSIC TO PLAY!! A DJ can't have that, now can they? LOL! But I would like to have it available, just not in charge. I need it to see/listen to txradioguy's reports.

So.....I will page you when I get home on how to proceed. Thanks.

OK, the problem you describe is not new. Every piece of software that is installed tries to take over whatever functions it can but the configuration can be changed so that it does not do that.

In the case of QuickTime, when you install it, it makes itself the default player and overrides every other player you might have installed and does not even give to you the option to choose. It is easy enough to override their overriding but still keep it installed so that it will start only when you open a QuickTime type file. :-)

I find QuickTime to be a total headache but sometimes it is a necessity.
