Amazingly enough, this was the 4th post in the March thread! LOL

A Christian evangelist known as "Dr. Dino" advocates a three-pronged approach to countering public school textbooks that use faulty evidence for Darwinian evolution.

Is "pay your taxes" one of the prongs?

Hank continually attacks those who hold the word of God to be inerrant.

I listen to his radio show a lot, and I have never heard him say other than the word of God is inerrant.

He is a supporter of the ever-expanding agglomeration of modernist 'translations' that dilute the diety of Christ, and allow humanism and gnosticism to be presented as the word of God.

Never heard this from him either.

I think you have Hank mixed up with someone else.

He knows very well that he is arguing bull, but he missed his calling if he is not an attorney.

Well, not exactly. He uses the religious argument in his belief that he
needn't pay any taxes. He is, apparently, a church, and everything he
has belongs to that church.

Poor guy didn't realize that the way to lessen a tax hit is to use a spouse
in the manner of John Kerry or Bill Clinton.
But Teresa and Hillary! are already taken, so he's out of luck.

"The debtor apparently maintains that as a minister of God, everything he owns belongs to God and he is not subject to paying taxes to the United States on money he receives for doing God's work"

LOL Nice try, Preach. I hope he enjoys his upcoming stay at Club Fed.

They must be worried that the devil is better armed. He won't be needing the guns where he's going anyway.... >:)

When someone gets arrested and is booked on criminal charges, I think it is routine to disarm them, especially when they are freed on bond.

Has anyone here actually watched any of his videos?

I recall seeing a characterization of his videos a year or two back by someone (other than an anti-Evo) who had seen them; "mind-numbing" was the operative expression as I recall.

Other than that, I expect they are occasionally viewed as entertainment during keggers at Fraternity parties...

"from the likes of Kent Hovind (and many other liars and cheats in the name of religion before him)"

My favorite is Jimmy Swaggart. Caught hoochie coo with a prostitute, prostitute says he was trying to get her and her daughter in bed together. Now, he is back on TV. For all men have fallen short... I guess that means he didn't get a go at the daughter. It is a sick excuse for ridiculous immorality.

Members of Creation Science Evangelism said at the time that building permits violated their "deeply held" religious beliefs.

Because permits are simply a tautology that have no basis in fact due to the gaps in their history and the inability to explain unknown ancient events.

Just what does Dino's Bible say about building permits?

And will they call in the BATF and FBI while he makes another DVD?

Tune in tomorrow, same Bat-Time, same Bat-Channel!

With all the comments about him, you'd think at least 1 person would have actually seen his videos!!

I did hear him say once that the "only real Bible" was the 1611 King James Version. Goodness, I speak/read English but I couldn't use that one!!

I once heard a story that at one of his lectures at Harvard or Cornell in the mid-1800s Louis Agassiz attacked "Darwinism" and departed the hall. His students remained silently seated. Finally, one of them said that Darwin made sense to him in spite of what their great and beloved teacher thought. Then one-by-one the rest of the class agreed.

Now does it really matter if some shoe salesman, restaurateur, or Baptist preacher believes in creationism? Their young followers will avoid the rigors of the science disciplines and opt for business administration or some other worthy but less intellectually demanding profession. As it is, there are too many third-rate scientists, anyway.

The creationists on FR that jump into every interesting scientific thread are there to disrupt, not reason. They should be ignored. On the other hand, when one of their witchdoctors runs afoul of the law or otherwise stubs his toe, maybe we should let faith-based crew hash it out among themselves.
