Hey Katie, you might as well sit at a glass desk with some nice short skirts, and just show them your lovely legs. You've got nothing to say.

On the contrary, Katie...I AM at home when the news comes on.
I just choose to watch other sources, and so do many other viewers.

At the town meetings, Couric and potential viewers have been talking about the Internet, among other subjects.*************
She's in so far over her head, I'm guessing she's close to panic at this point.

Katie "Queen" Couric will only finish the destruction of CBS News that Dan Rather started. Oh, their ratings will go up for a few days - maybe even a few weeks but then they will go down the cesspool.

They are considering moving the Nightly News to 2 pm so that more of their constituency can watch while they get ready for the evening. At 6:30pm they already need to be on the move-- that's right in the middle of Happy Hour.

This is all PR and marketing.
Lots of people are also saying, "Katie, I'd like to watch some news but can't find any. All I hear and see are one-sided editorials." And, "Gee Katie - seems like you get an awful lot of money for just reading to people." And, "Well Katie, now that there's an internet the idea of the 'Evening News' just seems stupid."

Yeah, she's got to have time for all those recipes and fashion hints.
What a loser.

See Katie tour.. See Katie break into a cold sweat...
The internet... and flexible time slots.... are phrases that cause the _BS networks to wet their undies. Katie must be realizing that once people have their morning coffee, etc....their not into fixed TV news slot viewing. And she left the waking stupor-coffee slot.

Sometimes I wonder, from a financial perspective, why the 3 major networks are still in the news business. Their ratings are declining, less people are interested and the expense of all those reporters worldwide must be very high. Personally, I think they could make more money with other programming.

Just who wants to block out twenty-two minutes of their day to watch someone, anyone, read the 'news', as they determine it, from a teleprompter? You can get headline news twenty-four hours a day now from many sources. I think KC is going to sink like a stone!

Translation, CBS hired Couric because they are going to put the "Today show on the evening news."
PMSNBC was exactly what she is talking about. They are at the bottom for a reason.
