It's simple math. If 24% is almost a 1/4 of the Conservative count, as is said in the article, then the number of Conservatives polled is about 100.

Help me out here...

" 24% is almost 1/4"

and 1/4 translates to 25%

therefore, it is the same as saying 24% is almost 25%

Of the total number of conservatives polled- almost 25% of them said they would vote for a democrat.

Given the stats in the article, of the 789 registered voters, the actual number of conservatives polled is undetermined.

The votes for Ross Perot were real votes and Clinton's presidency was real too, very real.

Clinton didn't get elected by people ranting on a board.

ANYONE VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT HAS NO RIGHT TO CALL THEMSELVES A CONSERVATIVE. NO REAL CONSERVATIVE WOULD EVER VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT

I was going to say the same thing. If they had said "24% of republican moderates I may have given the story a few seconds more credence.

Congressional elections are local to a constituency of some 635,000 people. National polls aren't necessarily representative of the local races.

Bush Team Raises $189 Million for Nov. Elections

Overall, Republicans continue to hold a strong lead over Democrats in fund raising. According to Federal Election Commission reports for June, the RNC has raised $152.9 million during the current election cycle, compared with $79.6 million for the Democratic National Committee. The RNC has $43.1 million in cash on hand, compared with $10.3 million for the Democrats.

Including congressional campaign committees, the Republicans have raised $300.1 million versus $191.5 million for the Democrats.

Yea, that's my first thoughts...

Anyone have polls from 4 months out from 200, 2002, and 2004?

This is in accord with what we see here. At least a quarter of those calling themselves conservatives are stark raving loony.

Excellent points.

I'm trying to change the votes of maybe half a dozen liberals in my network that I have some realistic chance of doing so with.

I'm using cartoons, the GEORGE SOROS Poe interview doc and other FR docs.

We must do all we can or face horribly dreadful consequences.

Bogus. No conservatives I know would EVER vote for a democrat. They'd sit it out before voting for one. OTOH, there are those even on FR who have said if Hillary has a better border plan that any republican, they'd vote for her.
