A Day in the Life of President Bush and Laura (overseas) - 7.13.06

At the invitation of Chancellor Angela Merkel, President Bush traveled to northeastern Germany in advance of his participation in the G-8 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia. Chancellor Merkel hosted President Bush today in the towns of Stralsund and Trinwillershagen, which are in the Chancellor's electoral constituency. The visit, which took place in what had been communist East Germany, underscores our two nations' commitment to advancing freedom and prosperity, and to strengthening the transatlantic partnership.

The President and the Chancellor took part in a joint press conference in the Straslund Town Hall, and the President also spoke in the historic market square. The First Lady visited a Kinderbibliothek (Children's Library) and toured Straslund City Archives and Baroque library, and attended a luncheon.

The First Couple visited St. Nikolai Church and toured it with Pastor Peter Neumann, and later traveled to the village of Trinwillershagen on the German Baltic Sea for a wild pig barbecue.

In tumultuous times it is reassuring to have a President who stands firm on principle and in strength of conviction and courage. Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on a MONSTER Dose!

Drowning is actually a good word for it, snugs.

The pics kept coming and coming, and as I looked, I found more and more that I didn't want to leave out.

I'm sure I missed a few in the shuffle, but I tried to get as many as I could to show the whole day accurately.

They were just too BUSY!!

I know - I was going out and thought I will take the MP3 Player with me. Grabbed some clothes from upstairs and put player either on top or bottom of them came downstairs put everything on a chair.

Helped dad to get ready came back to the pile of clothes but could not find MP3 so somewhere between picking it up and bringing it downstairs it vanished.

Definitely no bows but then I have a horror of those from childhood - my mother loved bows on my dresses.

LOL! They do look sad in those tanks with their claws all tied up and nowhere to go except in boiling water!

But OH the taste!! Especially if you've just bought them on the dock in Maine!

Hadn't thought about it. I do have something else to do that day, so probably not. Thanks for asking, tho.

I have noticed so many children nowadays are like that they will only eat meat if you cannot tell what it has come from and does not resemble the living creature.

Personally I prefer to see what I am eating rather than the square lump in platic wrap at the supermarket.

I just don't think they look like they belong on an adult dress.

But I respect Laura's right to disagree.

She has impeccable taste in men. :)

If you think the dinner sounds good, you should have seen the room and the clawfoot bathtub. I'll have to go and find a pic... it was heaven on earth.

We all say things we regret later from silly stupid things to things that can be taken in the wrong way.

I am sure some of my opening remarks are pretty silly often because by the time you scroll down it is obvious the question or the observation you made is rubbish.

It was an innocent comment that at the time was fun the fact that something tragic was unfolding elsewhere unfortunately happens.

If one has an incredibly small waist on a ball gown a big bow at the front is OK but apart from that on a wedding dress I agree children only with bows and only then if the child likes them.
