In case you need to make a quick run, I would have the following packed & ready:

Backpack

Socks (plus extras)

Blanket

Sunscreen

Whistle

First-aid kit (anti-diarrhea meds, Band aids, gauze, moleskin, med tape, anything for blisters)

Water bottle(s)

High carb candy/energy bars

Hat

Extra T-shirt

Knife / nail clippers / scissors

Duct tape (Seriously!)

Matches / lighter

If any of you have any suggestions on things to keep with you in a situation like this, or how to get out of a situation like this, I imagine they'd be appreciated.
