"Political correctness should not trump sense"

Is this author kidding? Political correctness has always been the complete opposite of common sense.

And seeing how it trumps common sense all too often, I'd say that's the living proof of the old saying about "common sense" not being that "common".

"Political correctness should not trump sense."

I work in Human Resources, and P.C. trumps common sense 50 times a day around here. So frustrating!

Yeah, now THAT was a helluva story. Niggardly. Hmmph.

If I see black kids loitering at 2 AM in my neighborhood, I call the cops. I do not hesitate. The meatheads in Georgetown should do the same.

I don't care what race, creed, color, etc. they are...if they're on the street at 0200, they're up to no good.

I heard a comedian once say his grandmother's motto was that the only things open after midnight are hospitals and legs!

You're right about the common sense curfew. After dark, no matter where I am, I am always vigilant about people on foot near my house.
