Oh, I agree that Iran and Syria are pulling the strings. I was just going by what the Israeli government was saying in regards to Lebanon harboring terrorists. It may not itself be anti-Israel, but it does tolerate those who are violently anti-Israel. I think I heard that Lebanon is about 30-40% Christian which is down from what it used to be, but still a good chunk of the population.

Two things must be considered with thinking of the Lebanese government 'allowing' the terrorists to move freely.

Remember that it doesn't have significant enough forces to stop it. And also remember what happened the last time it tried. Beirut was severely damaged during the strife that lasted years. Syria basicly occpied the nation.

I think Lebanon can be forgiven much of the blame on this. At least that's my thoughts on it.
