Well, I'm not as full on ammo as I'd like, but otherwise, I'm ready to go.

I was thinking, just get me juiced up on tequila and drop me in the middle of Tehran. The sight of a 6'3" 275# American running around with guns on a good tequila buzz may be enough to scare some sense into those people.

But probably not.

I'm quite rusty, older, and not very physically fit anymore but by God I can load and fire a rifle. I may get my butt shot off but at least I'll go down in a blaze of glory.

"Holy End Times, Batman, my spidey-sense is tingling."

I've been hearing this since I was a kid in the 50's. I think my nerves are burnt out.

India vs Pakistan

This is the worst case.

The others are mere squabbles in comparison.

Not to trivialize a very serious subject but I can't get the lyrics of a hymn sung most notably by Hank Williams:

There'll be nation against nation, there'll be war and rumor of war.
There'll be great signs in Heaven, in the sun, the moon, the stars.
Oh, the hearts of men shall fail them, there'll be gnashing of the teeth.
Those who seek it will receive it, mercy at the Savior's feet.

An old freeper like you should know better than taunting the Mods... They tend to go all postal on your butt pretty easy on a busy day like today.

Dude. Chill out. Rules are rules and they are for everyone. The title of the thread must be identical to the title of the news story. No editorializing allowed in this part of the forum.

Why does this remind me of that recent story, where a young man from NC became paralyzed, after joining others in trying to pull the tails and ears of Bulls over in Spain.

"Well, just how many offspring did Darwin breed anyway?"

A great CCR tune is what comes to my mind:

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin.
I see bad times today.

Dont go around tonight,
Well, its bound to take your life,
Theres a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

Dont go around tonight,
Well, its bound to take your life,
Theres a bad moon on the rise.

Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like were in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

Dont go around tonight,
Well, its bound to take your life,
Theres a bad moon on the rise.

Latest from the Times of India suggests that Indian government suspects Pak involvement. IF true, event will have impact on peace process. In other words, Indian/Pak relations would cool again, but no nuclear exchanges likely, at least for the time being.

From the TImes of India:

NEW DELHI: The peace process with Pakistan may come under strain if investigations show its involvement in the Mumbai blasts, and the first casualty could be the foreign secretary-level talks here next week.

"There will definitely be an impact (on the peace process) if the cross-border terrorism continues," a senior official said on Thursday.

In the wake of the blasts in Mumbai's trains that killed 200 people, there was an opinion in the government that the peace process and terror strikes cannot go on together, he said.

"We will have to do something if Pakistan's involvement is established," he said, indicating the dialogue process could be affected but did not elaborate.

With the security agencies strongly suspecting the involvement of Pakistan-based Lashker-e-Taiba in the blasts, uncertainty is growing over the foreign secretary-level talks expected to be held here on July 20.

Officials in the External Affairs Ministry remained non-committal on the dates of the talks, during which the two sides are to review the third round of their Composite Dialogue.

The foreign secretary-level talks were to be followed the next day by parleys between the foreign ministers to review the last round of the Composite Dialogue and set the agenda for the next round.

However, these talks are unlikely to take place because of protocol problems. India does not have a full-fledged External Affairs Minister since Natwar Singh quit the post in November and the portfolio is being looked after by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
