Meanwhile, In GAZAIn Israeli mililtary operations in Gaza, 23 Palestinians killed Wednesday
July 12, 2006, 11:12 PM (GMT+02:00)

An Israeli armored ground force crossed the Kissufim route, reached the Gaza coast Wednesday and severed northern Gaza from the south.

Qatar became the first Arab country to call on the Palestinians to release the kidnapped Israeli soldier and end their Qassam missile offensive - in its amended UN Security Council draft resolution.

Israel’s Gaza incursions will continue until the IDF’s missions are accomplished

This was decided at prime minister Ehud Olmert‘s first conference with the IDF general staff Tuesday, July 11. The incursions will take the form of limited raids and will not be held to any deadline. The forays will continue until Gideon Shalit is returned and the Palestinian missile offensive ended.
