For breaking news CNN is best, until they figure out how to spin it that is.

Gulf News:

Beirut airport attacked Agencies

Beirut: Israeli aircraft have fired missiles at Beirut international airport as the retaliation for the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah continued.

Airport sources said the airport had been closed down and that at least two flights had to be diverted to airports in the Middle East after three rockets hit the runway.

A report on Israeli army radio said the attack on Beirut airport was aimed at shutting down air traffic in and out of the Lebanese capital.

At least two rockets fired from Lebanon hit the northern Israeli city of Nahariya on Thursday, wounding three civilians, the Israeli army said. Hezbollah said it had fired 60 rockets at Nahariya, a coastal city south of the Israel/Lebanon border.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that at least 19 civilians were killed and dozens wounded in air strikes in southern Lebanon.

Police sources claim that 10 of the deaths were when a missile hit the house of a Shiite Lebanese shaikh, killing his wife and eight children.

Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said the two soldiers had been seized to force Israel to release prisoners, but Israel says the attack was an act of war and that it would not swap prisoners for the three snatched soldiers.

Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said his government had not known of the Hizbollah attack and did not endorse it or accept responsibility.
