(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) -- A son of Kentucky Congresswoman Anne Northup was found dead this morning in his Louisville apartment.
A Northup aide says 30-year-old Joshua Northup was found dead by his father. The aide says Joshua Northup failed to show up for work yesterday and today and that co-workers had become concerned.
The cause of death hasn't been released.
Northup is a five-term incumbent from Kentucky's Third District, which takes in Louisville.
Northup and her husband, Robert "Woody" Northup, have six children.
Condolences for the entire family and friends...
Oh my, prayers for the family. A parent's worse nightmare.
susie
OMG, prayers for Anne and her family. There is nothing as devestating as losing a child.
Prayers offered...
So no one bothered to check on him yesterday? My brother had a co-worker not show up one day and they sent him over to check on her. Unfortunately she was also deceased.(Natural causes). Thankfully he didn't have to find her but he did notify the family that her car was there and no one was answering the door.
Drug overdose and or suicide would be my guess.
That's not particularly charitable. People do slip in the shower, you know.
More and more people in the 30s are having heart problems, as well. A 34 year old man with two small kids who lived a block over from me died in his front yard from a heart attack last year.
It was an anurism (sp?) in the case of my brother's co-worker. She was in her 30s.
I WONDER WHAT HE DID TO THE CLINTONS.
Of course, but given his age it would have to be something rather freak in nature.
I had a stroke when I was 31 (still kicking though).
That will do it for sure. I was talking to a Dr. last week and he said a high percentage of the public are walking around with them and don't even know it, and probably never will. He said only a small percentage of them actually rupture, but when they do it's almost certain death on the brain.
And get murdered, and die of previously undetected heart abnormalities, and lots of other things. That fact that his co-workers didn't get alarmed enough to act on the first day he was missing, suggests that those who knew him weren't quick to suspect that he could have overdosed or committed suicide.
Even though I live in southern IN, we get Louisville media, and I am in Louisiville practically every day. Two of my 3 sons worked for her campaign in past years. One of her sons is a lector at my church. My prayers go out to the entire family.
My best friend died at age 36 with a blood clot to the lung. I guess that if freaky also. However, I think a lot of people in their 30s die of natural causes...they just don't get on the news for it.
You are very fortunate indeed.
Talk about running around with them. The brother of another friend was in a car wreck last year. When they got him to the hospital they found bleeding in the brain that couldn't be explained by any of his other injuries. Turns out he had one of those things growing in his head for years based on its size. So in the end the car wreck was a blessing because it actually saved his life.
I know of several cases of just that. Where the model citizen, the church going, God fearing guy from next door turns up dead with enough dope in their system to kill an elephant, or a hole in their head with a note nearby.
