We are working on it. I know I will be making phone calls in a couple of weeks for the Rpublican State Committee.

As the article states, the Republicans have usually won on the intitative side................they just need to transfer that base (more) to the elction side.

"Republicans vote more because they are typically better educated and more affluent,"
I thought liberals were supposed to be more educated. Of course a degree in "Womyn's Studies" doesn't mean a lot in the marketplace.

Conservatism, we are told, is out-of-date. The charge is preposterous and we ought boldly to say so. The laws of God, and of nature, have no dateline. The principles on which the Conservative political position is based have been established by a process that has nothing to do with the social, economic and political landscape that changes from decade to decade and from century to century. These principles are derived from the nature of man, and from the truths that God has revealed about His creation. Circumstances do change. So do the problems that are shaped by circumstances. But the principles that govern the solution of the problems do not. To suggest that the Conservative philosophy is out of date is akin to saying that the Golden Rule, or the Ten Commandments or Aristotle's
Politics are out of date. The Conservative approach is nothing more or less than an attempt to apply the wisdom and experience and the revealed truths of the past to the problems of today. Barry Goldwater,
The Conscience Of A Conservative, 1960.

LOL!
Another thing I just thought of.
If this is happening in Oregon -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
then what is happening in other states?
Something to ponder!

So are you saying that the Republicans and the dimocrats will both have to work to gain the independent's vote?

TWO POINTS: vote fraud by mail, especially in Portland, is scary, and, Oregon Republicans, just like those in California, seem to love to shoot themselves in the foot.
Could the rebirth of Oregon 0R`s be related to the decline of the Oregonian? Its a chicken/ egg question.

In talking to my contacts, even the GOP big wigs don't get this! I have been telling them for some time... this state is RIPE! We lost Columbia County in 2004 by so very very little. And we are VERY close to Portland. Very. We can take back this state, the Dims shoot themselves here so often, they are handing it to us in their complacency.
Oh how I will simply LOVE the day we have a GOP Governor and leadership here that actually MAKES SENSE!

Why is Oregon turning red?
Because the liberals have turned it into a sh!thole and have now fled to Montana, turning it into their next sh!thole.
Damn liberals!

An excellent question. I know fewer and fewer people are subscribing to the Statesman Urinal and the Oregonian.
Viva la internet!
