Minorities fear repraisals (Indian Bomb blasts and the Londonistan Dhimmi view)
Financial Times ^

Posted on 07/12/2006 7:04:14 AM PDT by The Lion Roars

Within minutes, seven explosions on the railway that forms Mumbai’s spinal cord left at least 163 people dead and possibly more than 1,000 wounded in one of the worst terrorist attacks in India.

The first explosion took place at about 6.30pm, at the height of the rush hour, with a further six blasts ripping apart commuter trains over the next 20 minutes, sending shrapnel through carriages normally filled with 400-500 people each.

ADVERTISEMENT There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombings, which echoed the attacks in Madrid in 2004.

Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan’s president, who has been criticised for failing to do more to rein in local militant groups, condemned the blasts, saying they were “despicable acts of terrorism”.

In a volatile sub-continent, in which attacks on one community seldom go unreciprocated, politicians urged people to remain calm. But some members of minority communities were last night anxious about reprisals.

For Elizabeth John, 37, a Pakistani living in New Delhi, it was a moment to be fearful.

“I’m very sad and scared,” she said. “Lots of people know I’m living here as a Pakistani. If they get angry they may attack me.”

In Mumbai, amid torrential monsoon rains, thousands of commuters took to the streets of India’s paralysed business capital, unable to make calls to jammed mobile telephone networks and overloaded land lines.

The explosives had been placed in railway coaches and on platforms on the western railway that snakes from south Mumbai to northern suburbs, the main commuter artery for millions of workers in the vibrant city.

Observers said the devastation would have been even worse had the explosives been planted in second-class carriages, which are densely packed, rather than in first-class coaches, usually reserved for women and less congested.

A number of smaller explosions in Srinigar, the capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir, earlier in the day had indicated an intensification of militant activity, but security forces have yet to announce links between the two sets of blasts.

As he did last October, when a wave of bombs devastated markets in New Delhi, killing 59 people, Manmohan Singh, India’s prime minister, said the attacks were the work of terrorists but he refused to speculate on the identity of the perpetrators.

“The series of blasts in Jammu Kashmir and in Mumbai are cowardly attempts to spread a feeling of fear and terror among our citizens,” Mr Singh said, condemning the attacks as “shameful acts aimed at our peace-loving people”.

Mumbai police said the explosives were too sophisticated to be linked to the small, isolated rioting at the weekend involving the radical Shiv Sena, a powerful regional party of Hindi fundamentalists.

A symbol of India’s growing financial muscle, Mumbai has long been viewed as a tempting target for terrorist groups.

In 1993, 300 people were killed in 13 explosions that also destroyed the city’s stock exchange.

It was a bloody riposte by Mumbai’s underworld gangs – whose leaders, city police believe, now reside in Pakistan – to a rampage by Hindi fundamentalists on a site revered by Muslims and Hindus at Ayodhya, in north India.

In 2003 bombers moved effortlessly in the city’s business quarter before watching their devices, planted in taxis, wreak havoc in two densely packed locations at lunchtime. At least 50 people were killed on that occasion, as drivers, beggars and local tourists sat down to eat.

160+ people dead and their first thought is fear of reprisals against them. Not too self-absorbed, are we now? How about thinking of the dead just for a second?

Murdering and torture is NOTHING new for Islamic subhumans.

What is NEW is the inability to call the murders by their NAMES
and protecting the terrorists, by calling them 'minorities'.

I am not particularly fond of Londonistan, the center of islamic fundamentalism in Europe next only to Paris. London has offered shelter to extreme radical Islamic thugs and mullahs. It allows in thousands of radical islamic youth from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt and other parts of the Middle East.

For Elizabeth John, 37, a Pakistani living in New Delhi, it was a moment to be fearful. “I’m very sad and scared,” she said. “Lots of people know I’m living here as a Pakistani. If they get angry they may attack me.”

This is classic dhimmi writing. They want to avoid the Islamic angle. Hence "Elizabeth John", a "Pakistani" is afraid of retaliation. Notice the oft repeated words "Hindu Fundamentalists".

The World should first learn to talk clearly about islamic terrorism. Islamic terrorism is because of I-S-L-A-M. Once we learn to say that we are half way through

Unless the UK stops inviting terrorists from all over the world, I stand by my comment. London is now home to the most radical of islamic clerics, terroists and murderers.

Actually I debated and replied on this very subject , this morning on another thread.

I was tempted to post my reply to you, but its a little too thought out and I feel I may be wrong a little too sensible for you to understand.

I feel you prefer the ranting debate and swapping of insults to thoughtful debate.

LOL I am in a good mood and have decided that I should not make a too hasty decision about you so here goes.

On LOndistan which is the name of a book I have studied parts of her book, skimmed read it, since I know the subject, it was easy to do.

The book is event based.

Because such and such event happened and because society is the way she perceives it to be then she joins up the dots.

She makes a number of points based on facts.

There was no Gentleman agreement between members of the UK government and Islamic terrorists you leave us alone we will leave you alone.

But there was note the word was a tradition of leaving groups alone that may have terrorist origins as long as they do not carry out any acts against us and we can use them.

A good history of this is the Russian Anarchists in 19th century Britain.

America has a similar view i.e in regards to American organistions that could be termed terrorists or freedom fighters, Cuba springs to mind.

During the 80s the Soviets Invaded Afghanistan, Ronald Reagan made the decision to support the mujahideen.

Britain under Margret Thatcher agreed to help support with our knowledge and links with that area.

London did indeed become a base of Operations for Islamic Jihad, against the Soviet Union, the CIA helped with training and logistics.

1990 the end of the Cold War, then Iraq invaded Kuwait, end of Gulf War start of the Balkans, quite a lot of resources were diverted to the Balkans getting up to speed understanding the locality a lot of work was involved, I should know I was one of those resources.

At home we were still fighting the IRA and other splinter groups, and the Animal Rights Front decided to start using terrorist activity to make there point.

The Islamic groups were not ignored through political correctness or self loathing it was plain and simple they fell through the cracks because we forgot about them, we had too much on our plates, Balkans, Africa, North Irland, Animal Right groups.

When President Bush was elected, the number one target was the Global Drug Trade, know many might be too young to of taken an interest in politics during the 80s and early 90s, but every one must remember the speeches on ramping up the Drug war.

Today things have changed.

We have passed a new bill, which includes a passage called the glorification of terrorism ban could lead to security services and special branches stepping up efforts to monitor Internet traffic so they can act against sites that carry inflammatory material. They are also likely to crack down on bookshops that disseminate terrorist publications.

In other words it is now against the law to preach, plan recruit for any activity that is considered terrorism even if we are not the target country.

We have detained over a 1000 suspects over 200 have been charged with a series of charges from minor to major.

This is a very potted history I have tried to give a broad outline I am more than happy to go into any aspect in more depth.

A shittyly written article mentions it as "Hindi fundamentalists"....... they dont even know the correct words the dhimmi media normally uses against us.

What happened to the PC word "Asian fundamentalists"??? Islamic Londonistan otherwise loves to club us Hindus together with Muzzies as "Asians" so that they can either use us to sing their multi-culti kumbayah tune or target us for racial assaults. Whatever happened now? Why the distinction suddenly?

Oh I get it..... "Hindi fundamentalists" are responsible for the bombings.
