"That Fitzgerald did not indict any of these sources may indicate his conclusion that none of them violated the Intelligence Identities Protection Act."

So Fitzgerald's ridiculous claim that he was protecting "an important principle" by indicting Libby, and indeed his whole investigation, was nothing more than a pathetic, despicable smear job. If the prosecutor knew, as now appears incontrovertably to be true, that there was in fact nothing to investigate, it's time for him to apologize, resign, and never again aspire to hold an office of public trust, and for the President to pardon Libby.

It was pathetic how #1 HYPOCRITE Fitzgerald complained at the indictment press conference that good folk might not make themselves available for public service if they end up being treated as shabbily as Mr. Libby treated the poor Wilsons.

Of course, it never occurred to the Fitzdolt that treating Mr. Libby shabbily might have the same effect.

Making the accusation, then making no indictment was a very, very cheap shot. I wish there was a way for Scooter to sue the jerk.
