BOB NOVAK, My Leak Case Testimony: 'I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in 'Who's Who in America'... MORE Published reports that I took the Fifth Amendment, made a plea bargain with the prosecutors or was a prosecutorial target were all untrue... MORE... My primary source has not come forward to identify himself... Bill Harlow, the CIA public information officer who was my CIA source for the column confirming Mrs. Wilson's identity. I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in 'Who's Who in America'... I answered questions using the names of Rove, Harlow and my primary source... I considered his wife's role in initiating Wilson's mission, later confirmed by the Senate Intelligence Committee, to be a previously undisclosed part of an important news story. I reported it on that basis.
There are two 'h's in Mathhews.
I guess Barney Fitz has given him a written get out of jail free card.
I'm so glad to hear about this. I heard this am, right after Bush's announcement about the lowering of the deficit that Brit Hume would have an exclusive w/Novak but couldn't find out anymore info. I couldn't think of any exclusive other then the Valerie/Joe affair. Yahoo!!
8-5 on Armitage
I remember him. Who hired him anyways?
FOX News gets a major exclusive. Sweet!
Looking at the weather here in Pittsburgh, you might be watching the All Star Game tomorrow night.

It's about time!
Barney...LOL! Well, it sure wasn't Miss Beasley, 'cause she wasn't around at the time. ;-)
ournalist Bob Woodward of the Washington Post revealed on November 15, 2005 that a "a government official with no ax to grind" leaked him the identity of outed CIA officer Valerie Plame in mid-June 2003. On March 2, 2006, bloggers discovered that "Richard Armitage" fit the spacing on a redacted court document, suggesting he was a source for the Plame leak.[1] Two journalists (Eric Umansky and David Corn) homed in on Richard Armitage as the source of the information; according to an April 2006 Vanity Fair article (published March 14, 2006), former Washington Post executive editor Ben Bradlee said in an interview "That Armitage is the likely source is a fair assumption," though Bradlee later told the Post that he "[did] not recall making that precise statement" in the interview.
Others later suggested that Armitage discouraged Novak from writing about Plame,[2] and has been a cooperative witness in the investigation.[1]

I've always found it extremely disturbing that those two individuals were anywhere near anything that impacted national security. THAT'S the big scandal to me.
You're right. It didn't look right.
Maybe Leopold will extend his Rove indictment watch to 48 "business" hours.
Pinging PJ-Comix -- this oughta be good!
Nothing on Brit's page.
Well .. this could be intertesting .. though Novak reminds me of Woodward in not naming names
From this article ...... Novak: Feds know who outed CIA agent

Novak also claimed that investigators know who leaked the information, although he did not say how they know.
"The question is, does Mr. Fitzgerald know who the source was?" Novak asked. "Of course. He's known for years who the first source is. If he knows the source, why didn't he indict him? Because no crime was committed."
Novak said he doesn't believe his source violated laws forbidding the disclosure of a CIA agent's identity.
A spokesman for Fitzgerald declined to comment on Novak's remarks.
At an appearance in December, Novak said President Bush knows his source, too. On Wednesday, he called those remarks "indiscreet."
Novak said he would reveal more "in time, when this investigation, if it ever ends, ends."
