"Though Clinton’s backers concede that she faces formidable obstacles in trying to stitch together a coalition of more than 50 percent of the voters"

She won't need 50 percent. Bubba got elected with just 43%, and that 43% will vote for her no matter what she does or what happens during the campaign.

Lieberman is looking like Ross Perot for 2008. He will probably siphon off lots of middle of the road voters.

"Lieberman is looking like Ross Perot for 2008. He will probably siphon off lots of middle of the road voters."

That's my theory, whether it be Lieberman or someone else. If there's a third party, she has a very good chance of winning. If not, she's toast.

Wish I had more faith in my fellow conservatives to see things for what they really are when it counts, but I don't. *SHRUG*

Lieberman is a liberal Democrat who agrees with his party on almost every issue, except that he wants Israel to survive. I can't see him doing anything in 2008 that would make a Republican victory more likely.
