Newsweek's article I meant .. oops
btt
Item: A 2 degree winter temperature drop could raise the U.S. fuel bill by at least $10,000,000,000.
Item: A diversion of monsoon rains in Central India means no grain harvest for 37,000,000 people
Item: We have just lived through the worst winter in a century. Dr. John Gribben predicts that savage winters will continue for the next 30 years.
With the world entering a mini ice-age, it is vital that scientists recognize the enormity of the crisis in terms of world economics, food and energy supply, and political implications. In this highly important book, Dr. Gribben examines the capabilities and limitations of conventional forecasting techniques and the role they will play in the single most important area of scientific research in modern times.
"A thoroughly sensible, balanced, and comprehensive argument" --Science Digest
Global warming is going to cause the next ice age...
They've got their bases covered...
No matter what happens they're right...
Like that scientifically accurate movie *The Day After Tomorrow* ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!
hee hee...hee... so fuel emissions(caused by the election of Nixon,) were first causing dust particles to block the heat of the sun from reaching the earth. Nixon did this to wreak havok to those on his "enemey list" Then when..."Bush stole the election" in 2000, he told all his oil buddy friends to refine oil to make the gas emissions that will heat up the earth and melt the ballots in Florida to hide the evidence.
Thanks for the ping.
TIME MAGAZINE, 2006
Late last year, for example, researchers analyzed data from Canadian and European satellites and found that the Greenland ice sheet is not only melting, but doing so faster and faster, with 53 cubic miles draining away into the sea last year alone, compared to 23 cubic miles in 1996.
Sorry, but thats over 30 years ago. Plenty has changed since then, science wise.
"Barf!" is correct. Gobal Climate Barf.
The question to ask here is:
If temps dropped globally by and average of 2.7 degrees, then could it not be argued that the RISE in average temps since 1974 brings us BACK to pre-1940 levels?
Pre-SUV time dating.
It would be great to find a quote warning of global cooling from a young House member from Tennessee in the 70's, namely Al Gore.
