No... he's simply a real Democrat -- a Democrat in the tradition of Harry Truman, Adlai Stevenson, John Kennedy, and Hubert Humphrey

Will you folks please STOP passing on this drivel? Jeez, just when I think that FReepers are among the most intelligent, witty and informed folks around, I keep seeing this kind of nonsense

He is a LIBERALSCUM through and through. He had a ZERO ACU rating in 2004. He lied profusely time and again during the 2000 campaign. The ONLY topic he sides with us is the War on Terror. Not to totally trivialize that, but beyond that, he's a lib to the core.

If you want to talk about a Dem that's in the tradition of those other guys, think Zell Miller, or Nelson (of Nebraska), etc. NOT Sore Loserman.

Thanks for making my day.

It is revelatory of Lieberman's total lack of conscience that he now brags about his record on "women's rights" and that he rates a 95 percent pro-abortion voting record. As a 1988 Senate candidate, Lieberman made many, many pro-life pledges to Connecticut Catholic leaders when he was Atty General running for pro-abort Sen Weicker's seat.

Based on Lieberman's internal polls indicating pro-life votes were there for the taking, Lieberman assiduously courted Catholics, and made pro-life promises that he had no intention of keeping. His "promises" to pro-lifers were so convincing, Lieberman was touted as the pro-life candidate and he gained a lock on the pro-life votes he desperately needed to win. Lieberman got into the Senate----with pro-life votes.

Once in office, Lieberman turned tail and became an unwavering abortion rights supporter, voting consistently pro-abortion, and even voting to uphold partial-birth abortion on six separate occasions. The Ntl Right to Life Committee has the whole sordid story----meeting notes of candidate Lieberman's calculated, phony pro-life pledges. He conned voters once----looks like he won't get the chance to con them again.

You are correct.

"He is a LIBERALSCUM through and through. He had a ZERO ACU rating in 2004. He lied profusely time and again during the 2000 campaign

Please keep repeating that on the LIEberman lovefeast threads.

THANK YOU!

The irony is the Freepers who keep repeating this drivel about Lieberman being a good honest patriot and a loyal ally are the ones who are saying we HAVE to "support Lieberman" to "stop Lamont".
