Nope.
But if it were true, and it's really not, I would have hemmed and hawwed and tried to get around it.
It's untrue, so I reacted as if it were, because it is.

Anybody can act any way they like as far as i'm concerned, it's not MY business what you, or anybody else does for that matter.
Conservatives come in many different shapes and sizes, just like other types.
As for screaming on the radio: some people ask for it by being stupid and deliberately un-American.
Plus i detect Mike came from a working class background like i did, and my father had a tendency to blow up once in a while, but otherwise was a decent fellow.
I like the fact that he doesn't censor himself as he does his show.
Some people don't have the sensibilities to deal with it, and i can understand that.

My philosophy as a conservative is to ALWAYS react in a logical fashion. That way it's FAR easier to debunk and unarm the super-EMOTIONAL liberals you'll be dealing with in the political arena. The problem with being angry seemingly all of the time, like Savage is, is that he's just the other side of the same coin as the uber-emotional liberal he's destroying.
Emotions play funny games with you, especially when you are worked up into a froth. At the risk of sounding like Mr. Spock, all issues should be dealt with in an un-emotional way, that way the reasoning is better behind the action that results. Being human, we aren't perfect, but Savage doesn't even try. And when you get pissed at some un-American bastard, he wins, because that's EXACTLY what the un-American bastard wants.

I think we all come Mike's show with our political views already firmly entrenched.
And i understand some of your complaints re: bugging Rush and Hannity. But,they don't like him either.
I've heard Hannity mock Savage in return, and his follow up on WABC attacks Savage like no other.

Anybody order one of these?? If so, it's here!!!
Ninety minute stretch coming up(kinda like the 7th inning stretch) Time for snacks, a drink, nature call, let the dog out, let the cat in, feed the bird, kiss the spouse, tousle the kids hair, hurry back to the show!

Are we not playing on the same team? Yes we all are. They come in various shapes and sizes, but a healthy debate is a good thing.
One man isn't going to win everything alone.
The only one that came close was Rush back in the early 90s but even that is up for debate it seems.
I never listened to Rush much (and virtually all of that while in my teens) and I don't think I've ever listened too Hannity.

I think you're right about the emotional thing.
When dealing with kids, it's best to be clear and un-emotional so they understand.
When you have a radio show, though, i think that's a bit different.
It's a cutthroat business that requires specialization.
Mike has carved out a niche, but it's not to everyone's taste.
Hey, i consider myself to be a decent guy, but there was always one kid on the block that didn't like me and vice versa.

Yes. All on the same team.
But every team has role players....
Mike stirs the drink, and he has a temper.
But my main reason that i like him is that when an issue comes up, no one has a better take on it 90% of the time.

C'mon man!
To: rockabyebaby
I knew this black guy about 10 years ago who used to date white women only, his dad told him the best way to get back at the white man for enslaving blacks was to date his women. Whenever a racial issue came up this guy would say, well, you weren't oppressed for 200 years, and my come back was always, and neither were you so what's your excuse? He never had an answer.
