President George W. Bush on Monday said if Chechen rebel leader Shamil Basayev was killed, "he deserved it."
Russian officials said Basayev, who claimed responsibility for the bloody Beslan school siege in 2004, was killed in an operation by special forces.
"If he is in fact the person who ordered the killing of children in Beslan, he deserved it," Bush said.
U.S. authorities were still gathering details on whether it was Basayev who was killed, he said.

I couldn't resist reading some of the posts in the DU link you put up.
I think this scares me more than anything. Posts like "250,000 Iraqis killed by US & UK forces, over 60% children."
No sources or links referenced, most likely because of the 60% is falsely inflated by 100 fold and, 99% of those were killed by terrorists in their suicide runs or mosque bombings.
In the entire thread, I did not see one post about the terrorists being the root of the problem, it's all about W.
I've been reading lefty comments and getting irritated for a long time. I think I just had a revelation.
Is our country truly lost for good? Is this the mentality? Are we doomed? Do I really live in a nation of liberal lemmings so driven by a need to push their agenda that they are willing to sacrifice everything that is dear and sacred in order to get it?
