Anytime the Court rewrites the law, it's bad.

"Anytime the Court rewrites the law, it's bad."

Not to mention that Congress (who has the authority to limit the courts {AHEM, AHEM}), in 2005 already passed a law telling the court to bug off.

I agree with both of you. The Court TRIED to shove through the Geneva Conventions, even though they do not apply. But they did not go quite that far. For a better analysis, see by "Gitmo Prisoners' Case" which was posted here, on ChrcnWatch.com and read with approval on Rush Limbaugh, a week ago.

However, five "Justices" violated their Oaths of Office. Instead of protecting and defending the Constitution, they trashed and rewrote it. And along the way, they even had time to trash two of their own prior decisions, Quirin and McCardle, while falsely claiming to be following those prior decisions.

As always, I will support the presidential candidate most likely to nominate new Justices who understand their job -- which is to understand, obey, and apply the Constitution. At this point, that looks like George Allen. And I will support Senators who will confirm such Justices, which means both of my Senators from North Carolina.
