Former U.S. President Bill Clinton accused the Republican Party of using the immigration issue to divide Congress and the nation, local media reported on Sunday.
"It is a way of creating a divided community and distracting people from the real challenges facing the country, whether it is in Iraq and Afghanistan, or homeland security, or how to build a clean energy future, or how to solve the healthcare crisis, or how to create new jobs for America," Clinton told one of the nation's largest Latino civil rights groups in Los Angeles Saturday night.
Calling the immigration debate a divisive distraction, Clinton said hard-liners are "basically saying these undocumented broke the law, send them home - never mind that they are five percent of the workforce and a far bigger percentage in certain critical areas."
"It's crazy to think about sending 11 million people home" to their native countries, Clinton said in remarks published by the Los Angeles Times on Sunday.

How can America miss him if he won't go away?
Once more we have to hear from the biggest piece of **** to ever inhabit the White House. People complain that we can't get over Clinton? Gee, could it be because the rapist traitor won't just go away and STFU?
Hey Slick. It is a dividing issue. We reject your "idea" of partisanship. We're 'Pubs, and we reject the Liberal Democrat's sellout of the nation. Eff off!
And it'scrazy to imagine a president getting a knobber in the Oval Office. Different realities, I guess.
Didn't he get the memo that that was a month ago? What's he been doing all this time?
Republicans attempting to unite the country on an issue is divisive.
BJ channels the Red Queen.
You think it's bad now, wait until if and when MRS BILL CLINTON runs for the presidency.
All America should be reminded that a vote for MRS BILL CLINTON is a vote to have Bubba roaming the halls of the White House again, looking for love in all the wrong places, and pontificating on every tv set, lecturn and dais he can possible get to.
Will some one tell this guy... no one cares what he says of thinks.. he had 8 years to make America perfect.. and all he did was mess up a blue dress...
Never forget the massive ego of the crooked one and his ability to show everyone what he is all about.
And now we must accept the illegal aliens because they are people.
The taxpayers have no rights only those who break the law like he do.
As far as the immigration issue -- Well I know it's vital to many of you, but to me, it's pretty much a non-issue. I don't care about it, and think it's a non-issue. It sure would never effect my vote.
As far as a divided Congress --- GREAT! EXCELLENT!
About time the GOP showed some boldness {if they are}, and the dems need to be taught that they are in the minority.
There is no getting along with libs. No cooperation is possible. They need to be taught their place!
Hmmmm?? Interesting comment in lieu of the fact that the democrats ARE DIVIDED ON THE ISSUE - so it can't be the repubs who are doing it .. we're dumber than dirt!!
More frightening than what Xlintoon has to spew from his hole on this issue is the fact the the sitting President undoubtedly agrees with everything he said.
Xlintoon learned to do whatever it took to destroy America way back at Oxford and on all those trips to the Soviet Union. Manchurian candidate if there ever was one. Same for his wife, for Kerry, and for McCain (clearly the commies did some magic on him during his time as a POW).
But don't you see: it's the Pubs' fault that the Rats are divided!!
And everything else is Bush's fault!
The sad part is, in addition to the crap directly attributable to her, if MRS BILL CLINTON were actually to be elected President, we'd have to put up with 24/7 "Bubba's World," too.
Imagine her putting him in charge of, say, health care and all the hearings, news coverage, talk shows---like I said, 24/7 Bubba's World.
America must be reminded that a vote for MRS BILL CLINTON is a vote for the same icky two-fer Bubba was flacking when he emerged from the swamp in Arkansas.
A majority of the public favors strong enforcement, disagrees with amnesty, but would be OK with a guest worker program. Most republicans in both the house and the senate hold this same view. The Rinos and most of the Dems along with the MSM hold the opposing view.
I just had to repeat that statement because it hit the nail right square on the head.( ok how about dead on...)( uh wait that won't work either. Errr, hit the nail precisely..)
The Klintoon legacy.
Are not the very words Clinton is espousing here intended to divide? |
