Don't hold your breath maica.
Just like I heard Lanny Davis say to Christina van den Commie this morning "we are fellow travelers". So are the chinese and much of the Drive-bys. They are not about to say anything bad about their big buds.
One thing that worries a lot of people is the amount of foreign debt that china holds of ours. Billions and billions.
It's one thing for a Japan or another ally to hold such debt but China....that's another. If china gets big enough, and they are headed that way, they could slowly plan to sink our economy and not get hurt at all. Simply shift production and sales to other countries which they are doing as fast as humanly possible now.
That should worry the Chinese the most.
What's the old saw?....
When a man owes a bank $100,000--
--the bank OWNS the man.
When a man owes a bank $1,000,000--
--the man OWNS the bank.
#210, again really good analysis even though it is a really scary scenario.
I have been having the same concerns as you, RE: the debt of ours that China holds.
LMAO!!!! What a maroon!
From The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, Third Edition:
fellow traveler
One who supports the aims or philosophies of a political group without joining it. A fellow traveler is usually one who sympathizes with communist doctrines but is not a member of the Communist party. The term was used disparagingly in the 1950s to describe people accused of being communists.
And I love the "see also" link from Wikipedia:
