I watched the clip. I had forgotten that Murtha stated unequivocally that "there was no firefight", which we now know there clearly was. Was his informant untruthful, or was Murtha just flat out lying. In the end, it doesn't really matter.
A hunger strike means no food until certain demands are met. Just ask Gandhi. A hunger strike means you are willing to die for your convictions.
A three-day fast? Hell, I missed more meals than that while finishing my thesis in Grad school. No problem.
Let Al Simpleton, Cindy Sheehan and the rest take it that far... no food at all until the troops are returned home. Then I will be impressed.
