From day one of his first administration, the rats & old media constantly pilloried the President and purposely divided our nation. They continue to do so in time of war.
I don't think they really (I mean really) believe we are at war. They look at this the same way they do..say highway subsidies. It's either that or large protions of our population are stark raving mad.
