Hardball/NewsBusters ping to Today show list.
Of all the things that need to be apologized for on Mess-NBC from Chris Matthews' hysterical partisan polemics to Keith Untermann's ugly and personal diatribes, this truth spoken by Scarborough is the one that gets an "I'm sorry?" Spare me.
New MSNBC chief Dan Abrams made his first big changes to the news channel, shuffling its prime-time schedule and adding two hours of documentaries Mondays through Fridays.
Its core of "Hardball," "Countdown" and "Scarborough Country" will remain intact. Going off the air will be "Rita Cosby: Live & Direct," which had been in the 10 p.m. slot Mondays through Thursdays. Tucker Carlson, who joined MSNBC last year after a career at CNN, will move from 11 p.m. to airings at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. where "The Abrams Report" used to be.
Abrams said that there wouldn't be any other major changes in the near future, though there will be some changes to both "The Situation With Tucker Carlson" and "Scarborough Country."
The Dems wouldn't welcome OBL's capture between now and the November election.
Yeah, I sure heard nothing but lip service tepid replies of "We're glad BUTS..." from most Dems. when we nailed Zarqawi. All we heard from most of them was how it would make no difference. And even idiots like Durbin couldn't help himself by saying how Iraq is a failure.
Does anyone mean to say that if Bush nailed Bin LAden tomorrow and pumped his approval rating up to 60% and the GOP's chances in the elections were suddenly brightened that anyone in the Democratic leadership and all but few of the Democratic hard core would gladly take that over winning the mid-terms? Get real.
BTW, some former green beret said today on Fox that this is not a war on terrorism, it is a war on radical Islamic fascists who are hell bent on killing us. I think that he is absolutely correct and that the war on terrorism should should be relabeled as the 'radical Islamic' war......
They are already doing polling on it.
Yes, except for the fact that he later backed off his own statement!
Okay..I see your thread..but, I thought the part of the show with Paul Hackett (ex Cong. candidate, ex Sen. candidate)...with the father of the guy that is refusing to go to Iraq was ALSO very remarkable.
I was astonished that Paul Hackett came out as forcefully as he did AGAINST the guy...being a lib syncophant.
RE: what you posted about...Scarborough and Tucker are shams and MSNBC should NEVER, EVER refer to them as "conservative" again.
In his role as a lawyer, Hackett has been defending a Marine charged in an incident in Iraq. So he's kind of come full circle. Hey, I can't cover everything!
The fact he had to publicly apologize meant he cut them the right way with the sword of truth.
I have never respected Joe because of the way he acts on his show...especially being tagged as a "Republican"...but, any credibility he HAD is totally gone after that apology.
Must be the new house rule at MSNBC: do not criticize the Democrats on the air...
Joe was too mild...The Dems would welcome a mushroom cloud over an American city if they could pin it on Bush and win the election.
He's right. No need to apologize. They'd be po'd.
