A clear double-standard in the mainstream media will likely ensure Senator Biden gets a pass over these comments that would get a Republican in deep trouble if he ever made a similar statement," said IARC chairman Dr Vijay.
Singh it, brother.
Way to go Joe...
I wish I could have seen his handler's faces as that remark came out of his mouth. He is such a maroon. What can you expect from someone who doesn't see anything wrong with plagiarizing. He needs more handlers to protect him from himself.
Ouch! Well, looks like Biden will get his wish, to just stay home and make love to his wife while the (adult) kiddies are asleep.
"The contributions to America by Indian Americans in the fields of medicine, education, science, and business have been well-documented."
As well as information technology.
Joe Biden ain't called the smartest man in Congress for nothing!
What idiots the dems are. The average Indian probably has a higher IQ alone than Kerry, Hillary, and Biden have together.
Last night on H&C, Colmes made light of it. It was no big deal to him.
Hello!!! US MEDIA!!! HELLO!!!! Are you there???!!!
Oh that's right, it's not a Republican or Trent Lott saying these things, so you're okay with it. Surely the media darling and media whore Joe Biden must have had only the purest of motives when he made these comments, unlike what would be the case if he was one of those mean, racist Republicans!!!
I guess when you have diahhrea of the mouth like the Senate's biggest blowhard, Joe Biden, you increase your chances of saying dumb things. The problem is, most everything Joe Biden says is dumb so it's hard to distinguish one nitwit remark from another...
Remember Biden's "Gee Boss" harangue of Condi Rice in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee?
"Gee Boss, you say some awfully dumb things Boss. Gee Boss, maybe you ought to learn to put a muzzle on it. Gee Boss, maybe you need to read some books about Indian-Americans and their contributions to America."
Now there is an intelligent statement. Most would be demanding an apology. But an apology in such circumstances would ring hollow and be absolutely worthless.
This gentlemen recognizes this - and, tongue in cheek, let's Biden know it will not be forgotten.
So....is Russert gonna give him the entire hour on Meet the dePressed to explain himself.
Or is he booked on all of the other Sunday shows too?

"In 2004, Senator John Kerry referred to Sikhs as terrorists"
Idiot!
The Sikhs used to ride out and protect the community from the Muslims. The fifth Sikh guru -- Guru Arjan Dev Ji -- was the first martyr to the Sikh cause. The Muslims boiled Him in oil!
These are some of the Sikh tenits of war:>http://allaboutsikhs.com/books/kjs/07.htm<
1. Not to attack the unarmed or the weak.
2. To Challenge before Attack.
3. Not to plunder private property or the property of peaceful citizens.
4. Due respect of ladies.
5. To help the belligerent party for the cause of Righteousness.
6. No Violation of Treaty and Agreements.
7. No Violation of Cease Fire Declaration.
8. No General Massacre.
9. Not to damage the places of Worship.
10. Not to harm persons who have surrendered.
11. Legitimacy of stratagem and not of deceit.
They are as opposite from the radical Muslims; as night is the opposite of day.
"You cannot go to a 7/11 [a chain store] or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent."
What would ones having a 'slight Indian accent' have to do with the act of 'going to a 7/11'?
I don't get it.
Shouldn't the 'stereotypical comment' read: One can not go to a 7/11 [a chain store] or a Dunkin Donuts without encountering 'a slight Indian accent'?
Biden was explaining this today on the "fair and balanced" CNN (which paired him up with Senator Reed of Rhode Island).
His explanation was that he was saying a good thing. He said that it used to be we only had really smart indians here, physicists and stuff like that, but now we were getting mainstream indians like those who would work in a 7-11.
I'm not sure even the host of the show understood why Biden thought this explanation was helpful to him, but went along, feeding softball questions like "so, someone characterising this as anti-indian would be wrong then?"
It would be fun though to see a protest between indian-americans, and american indians.
"He said that it used to be we only had really smart indians here, physicists and stuff like that, but now we were getting mainstream indians like those who would work in a 7-11."
As he puts his OTHER foot firmly in his mouth by implying: that Indians -- "mainstream" Indians -- that work at a 7/11 (many also own the store as a franchise)are not so intelligent and, therefore, less than the aforementioned "elite"(in Biden's mind)Indians.
