It does nothing but turn a person back on them-self instead of making them look outward at Christ.
Don't get me wrong. A Southern Baptist writes a book, I really want to like it, I really do. But what starts off with "it's not all about you," rapidly turns into a book about, well, you. I can get that on Oprah or Dr. Phil. We don't need a therapist, we need a Saviour.

We don't need a therapist, we need a Saviour. I agree with you there. And that's why I've said many times before that I think PDL is okay for a starting point (for some, maybe not all), but it doesn't go very deep.
I just think some folks spend too much time criticizing Warren because it's easy to do from the comfort of their own desk chair. Doing more would require getting up and getting out.
That doesn't apply to everyone here. But it does to quite a few.
