Crazy Kim Jong II of North Korea and Rick Warren Working Together For What Purpose?
Christian Worldview Network ^ | 7-04-2006 | Ingrid Schlueter

While North Korea was gearing up to launch a long range missile and five rockets into the Sea of Japan this week, sending a grim message to the entire world, out at Saddleback Church Rick Warren was announcing that he will soon be bringing his message of purpose to North Korea where he reportedly will be addressing an audience of 15,000.

“God is using Rick Warren to be a messenger of peace!” gushed one Saddleback member. There is great hope in Lake Forest that Rick Warren's message in that stadium will cause Kim Jong II to drop his nuclear purposes and embrace some kinder, gentler ones.

But who exactly will be sitting in that stadium when Mr. Warren steps up to the podium? Given the level of government induced starvation in that country, the average North Korean would be lucky to have the strength to walk to the stadium to hear him in the first place.

Well, even Jesus didn't save the whole world. Rick thinks he can with his brand spankin' new (see Ecclesiastes) methods.

you slander a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

Personally I think Mr Warren is ignorant of Scripture and misguided. In the Bible, both outright defiance against God, as well as ignorance, are worthy of judgement and no excuse.

On that note, 'faithful' is a word I would not use to describe Warren's following after Christ.

Woe for you when the world speaks well of you, for this was the way their forefathers treated the false prophets.

But I applaud him for going. How will they hear without a preacher?

If you want them to hear the gospel, then in that case they should actually send a preacher of the gospel. Not the gospel of 'self fulfillment' or 'purpose.' But the true, offensive gospel. But that wouldn't curry him any favor with Kim Jong Mentally Il, so he (according to pattern set by himself) won't do it.

How is this possible? NK represses religion as there should be no "god" above their "dear leader."

That makes two of you throwing the bread and wine at Rick.

You gonna carry on with your food fight by yourselves or invite Jesus to join you?

It must be heady stuff to be in demand by the Council on Foreign Relations, to speak before the United Nations and before Bill Gates and Ted Turner.

Rick Warren has--GASP!--gone New World Order!!!!

Bill Moyers, who was also mentioned in the article, has gone NWO in a big way. All his recent PBS programs are shilling for Georg Soros, pure and simple!!!! He even had Soros (who is his major patron) as a "guest" on his program "NOW", which Moyers left about a year ago. Moyers was once merely a traditional liberal--now he's "Third Way"/NWO. I guess it pays better.

Now Moyers is doing a "Faith Versus Reason" program--more anti-Christian propaganda. What do you expect from someone who did those Serbophobic programs about "Bosnia" in the 1990s?

So you don't have any evidence. What garbage. God is ashamed of you for your slander, and you should repent.

Evidence? Where does Rick Warren, ever, ONCE say that? All of you need to quit this kind of slander against a brother. You would do well to take Gamaliel's advice, and if you don't agree with him, shut up. If he's not "of God," then your assistance won't be needed. If he is, then not a thing you can do or say will stop him and, indeed, will only hurt you.

If you don't agree with us, why don't you take your own advice?

No, at this event you won't see chubby cheeked Korean peasant children and their happy parents. You can expect to see the communist party faithful selected to attend this massive propaganda event in promotion of the world's most brutal and oppressive regime.

I think Jesus would be saying "good, that's who needs to hear the Word of God the most." The people of NK are suffering and have no power to change anything, but those Ingrid speaks of do.

Who, pray tell, is Ingrid Schlueter? I've never heard of her. I know who Rick Warren is, and I know who Jesus Christ is, but I don't know who she is, besides the accuser of the brethren? It would do well to let God judge Christians. He's warned us time and again, NOT to Judge. Those who want to condemn Warren, would do well to pray for him instead, that they don't fall into Judgment themselves.

Warren is certainly not a false teacher. I've been through his 40 Days of Purpose and I was underwhelmed by it. But in this day, I give a lot of credit to anyone who begins a book with "It's not about you." He's trying to reach a hard-to-reach society (ours) I think. I'm not a natural person for his audience, but many are. I'm absolutely thrilled when God's word reaches the unsaved. God promises that His word will not return void of the purpose for which He sent it out. North Korea needs God's word and God is larger and stronger than communism or Kim...

Thanks for the info. It sounds like she has a good background in radio. I agree with her about the UN wanting our children. The UN is evil. I'm not sure what Christian credentials she has that elevates her to be the Judge of our brethren.

Nobody in a food fight, just a fight for the truth. A lot more than two of us, incidentally.

These charges of slander are reminiscent of the $cientologistS who sue every time they get criticized. Rick Warrent is not my brother. He doesn't even know which Bible to use.

He IS a false teacher. If you went through the "purpose" brainwashing without recognizing the false doctrine, then you are worse off than you realize. Read his other atrocity, "The Purpose Driven Church" where he tells pastors how to push the "resisters" out the door.
