Well, good luck with all that.

One more reason why "works" probably wasn't the chosen method.

Like many people of other faiths, Muslims have focused charitable efforts largely on their own faith communities.
Indeed. Poor little Osama bin Laden needs funds to continue his operations, and these wonderful organisation supply him with the dollars he needs. I'm going to contribute a few thousand dollars to these charities.

"We want to encourage them to go to beyond their mosques and their comfort levels and truly practice the religion" Enforce Sharia, conduct a few honor killings, behead some infidels, murder a few Jews, blow themselves and some Americans up, drive an SUV into a crowd...c'mon people let's show some Muslim spirit!

'Over time when you start building credibility, people will start noticing,' she said.
That's true.
When Muslims stand up and loudly condemn acts of terror instead of hemming and hawing their way thru a watery excuse/apology, then people will start noticing.
Until then, I'm not holding my breath.

Why don't they volunteer to build ships to ship themselves back to Mecca and Medina?
\
That would be an act of ULTIMATE charity.

Like many people of other faiths, Muslims have focused charitable efforts largely on their own faith communities.Dhimmi doubletalk.
The "many people" of America contribute huge amounts of cash to charities which work with anyone, of any "faith community," e.g. the tsunami efforts which went almost entirely to Muslims and Buddhists, not Christians.
The true fact is that Muslims are cheap as dirt when it comes to helping their fellows in distress (again the tsunami illustrates it), and even worse so when it comes to helping the Kuffar and the Dhimmi, to whom charity is prohibited.

No you can't. One syllable timed with a stopwatch.

Muslims Care, or alternately: MUSLIM SCARE!!!
Personally I think the second one fits them better.

Outreach to the 2nd class dhimmis alert.Well put.
All this is nice, well and good even. But how long do we wait for their condemnation of terrorist acts? Especially acts of terrorism against non-Muslims? Any missive issued condemning the bombings in London on their first anniversary? I won't hold my breath.
Alyan, a founder of the GiveLight Foundation, which aids orphans in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, said she's optimistic that the good works will gain non-Muslim attention.
I wonder if they give aid to the orphaned children of Christian parents murdered by Islamo-terrorist rebels in the Sudan? Oh wait, a Muslim group does, those very rebels themselves - they call it 'conversion'.

As with liberals the appearance of concern is oh so important. That's all it is here with the muslims. And we all know things are not always as they appear.

That's not really the problem. It is not that moslems are mostly quiet and do good works in their community, but that they do and say nothing about the 10% vicious terrorists in their community. Vicious is another word for decadent.
