"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Lord of heaven, protect this boy from all harm as we plead the blood of Jesus to cover him. Set up your hedge about him and lead him home. Strengthen the hearts of his grand parents, bring all into Your glorious light. In Jesus' Name. Amen and amen.

If you want on/off my prayer ping list, please let me know. All requests happily honored.
Thank you so much. The service is tonight. Going to be a rough day. Then the memorial fundraiser for his family is tomorrow. That should help us all.
Prayers that Jeff will be found safe and sound. May God hold him close in His powerful arms until he is reunited with his family.
God give comfort to his family and friends like you, that you might be given the answer you are waiting for...that he is all right. This has got to be so scary for everyone!
Actually, he was found deceased. It was so sad. The folks here are so supportive. I appreciate your prayers and ask you to continue for the family.
Oh! I am so very sorry...I just should have read the whole thread before responding. God rest his soul...and give his family and friends the comfort that only He can give.
If you ask the Admin Moderator to change the name of this thread, new readers will know that Jeff is no longer missing but in the arms of the Lord.
Could you please change the title to reflect that this boy has been found deceased? Thank you.
Joining in prayer for God's comfort.
I will continue praying for Jeff's family, friends, and the community as they deal with this tragedy. {I will also pray for answers to remaining questions...}.
The family of this young man is in my prayers this evening, asking the Lord to grant them comfort and strength in this very difficult time.
I just returned from the funeral service for this young man. Visitation was two hours prior to the service starting, and even though I got there 20 minutes before the service, the church was just PACKED. The overflow area spilled out into the narthex (fancy word for a church's lobby), and it was almost standing room only.
The neatest part was after the sermon when the pastor presented Jeff's grandmother with what the pastor called a prayer shawl. It must have been made by volunteers at the church and was beautiful.
Judging from the crowd, this young man will be sorely missed by a LOT of people. May they find peace knowing that Jeff is resting in the arms of his Saviour.
Thanks to the generosity of our small town, the fundraiser for Jeff's family was an absolute success. Lots of hard work and last minute prep, but it was great!Wish you all could have seen the looks on Jeff's grandparents' faces when they walked in. They are such lovely people who, after the funeral, were able to gather with folks to celebrate Jeff's life. I simply cannot find the words to describe it.
Thank you all for your support and prayers. We are truly blessed.
