[I] joined the DC FReepers in the Vietnam Vets against John Kerry demo in September '04 and in Crawford to support President Bush last summer. If there is another support the President rally this summer, will be there again. Don't know when I can get to DC again.
Great going! It's so important for everyone to take the opportunity to FReep wherever you are in the country! Thank you, CedarDave. And I did hear a rumor that the Sheehan "starve-for-attention-o-rama" is supposed to continue this summer at her rathole in the ditch in Crawford.

Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!
I did not make the graphic of the NYT front page, but I was the FReeper who put the "Anne Frank If In The Attic" into the graphic.

There appear to be more photographers than protesters. It was about 1::1.
Finally, a story they were interested in. (i.e., the penalty for this action is death...)

"Where are the NYT investigative journalists going after Osama's secrets, and Al Queda's operation procedures?" That's what Daniel Pearl of the WSJ was doing. The NYT reporters prefer to stick with safe targets.
You bring up a salient point. It's worth noting that in this war, more journalists have died than in previous ones. They are targeted by the terrorists/insurgents. But instead of the reporters and editors decrying this breach of Geneva Conventions by the terrorists, or denouncing their inhumanity and ruthlessness, they keep denouncing the United States.
Morons.

Thanks, Mr. T. I'm glad I was able to contribute.
As for getting the posters to NYC, can you just email the image to one of the NYC FReeprs and they can just have them made up at a Kinkos type place? (I'm saying this having no clue what the expense is)

And I did hear a rumor that the Sheehan "starve-for-attention-o-rama" is supposed to continue this summer at her rathole in the ditch in Crawford. If so, I'll be on the opposite side of the ditch like I was last summer after the rally at the park ended. It was Katrina weekend. Definitely an event to remember.
And speaking of rememberance, do you think my tagline would make an impression on them if I put it on a sign and waved it in front of their face? :>))

Why does it matter to you if there are as many press as protestors? In the media handbook: If it's a lib protest, tight shots only, so no one knows how many people really show up. You have to go online to see blogger photos of 20 reporters clustered around 5 lefty protestors, trying every angle to make them look larger than life.
This was a nice result for a very last minute event held on the Monday of a long holiday weekend when most people were out of town if they weren't working. Remember, conservatives don't use rent-a-mobs.
It presented the right case against the NYT staff's actions, shining a light on their dangerous bias, and was reported by major media outlets. Mission accomplished.

Once again DC Freepers take it to the streets! Fantastic job, great signs, great interviews by Kristinn and Kincaid.
One day the "tipping point" will be reached when the number of people who are actually aware of what is going on in the world overwhelm journalistic cover ups and bias. Can you imagine "mainstream media" evoking feelings of trust and reliability instead of the opposite?
