Freep this Poll..who won debate Lieberman or Lemont
http://www.nbc30.com/news/9471030/detail.html ^

I believe Lieberman (the more sensible and thoughful of the two) won over the radical leftist Lemont whose smarmy voice and crazed eyes paid no compliments to his already dangerous ideas.

Lieberman is one of the few halfway sane voices on the libs' side of the fence -- that is why they do not like him. He is not the raving lunatic socialist that the rest of the mainstream ThugoRats are....IMHO, he could have beaten Bush in 2000. But the ThugoRats are controlled now by a fringe of radical leftists, that won't let go of the power-mad leftist agenda.

They keep losing. Thank God for the sake of the USA.

Lemont made a mistake. When he said that "illegals" were the "best students" and they deserved scholarship money et al, he stepped on it. It was nice watching Joe showing his colors though. LOL

Who do you think won the Democratic debate on NBC 30?

Choice Votes Percentage of 2974 Votes
Joe Lieberman 598 20%
Ned Lamont 2376 80%

Come on Freepers I know Lieberman ran with Gore but Lieberman at least is not a Moonbat Democrat.

I watched it too. Being a CT resident at one time... I've seen the state turn increasingly lib over the past 30 years.

A rational person who saw this debate and who was aware of the issues would have thought Lieberman the winner. Alas... libs are not rational... and their hatred of Bush is clearly being channeled toward the closest thing resembling his policies... the unfortunate, Joe Lieberman.

If CT Republicans are savvy... they'll vote for Lieberman as an Independent come election day. The look in Lamont's eyes should be enough to convince them to do so.

I agree that Lieberman is an acceptable voice from the left. However, I have a theory that he would have been handicapped in a national campaign due to his vague resemblance to Max Wright. :)

http://www.tvshows.de/alf/e-cast2.htm#max

Max was the bumbling character from "Alf".

Senator Hubert Humphrey also had a similar albatross hung around his neck when he ran for President. He bore a striking resemblance to a movie and TV start who invariably played a relentless villain.

Hi. I watched the debate and Lamont was terrible. He has the permanent scared look and looked like he was dressed at Walmart. Think this guy is a phoney dressing down so he doesn't look as wealthy as his family .Greenwich Republican running against the war as Democrat. The Democratic left have wooed the media to follow this race. There really wasn't a race until the MSM got involved talking all the time about it and wooed the hate the war crowd to come of their closets.
In CT I don't see Lieberman losing.

If Lieberman runs as an independent, won't he split the Democrat vote? And if the Republicans remain united, couldn't that mean the possible gain of a Senate seat?

>> Thanks, but I'll vote the republican ticket: Alan Schlesinger ...but you'll get Lamont. <<

Huh? How will Republicans voting for their OWN party's nominee make Lamont win? Liberal Loserman running as an "Independant" splits the RAT vote and only hurts Lamont. Liberman and Lamont both on the ballot in the general election increasing the odds of a GOP win, not a Dem win.

If you want for a guy who is liberal 90% of the time and was Gore's handpicked running mate, maybe you should join the RAT party. There's one center-right candidate running against two socialists and you're advocating we vote for the nicer socialist. Well if you like socialism then the GOP ain't for you.

I wish we could have gotten Zell Miller to defect from the ThugoRats. That would have been a political win of great proportion. Zell is an American patriot, not a pinko power-monger like the rest of the Rats...
