It is just a cold eyed advancement of their missile program through testing, and the further they go toward threatening our mainland, the higher the stakes become. The one thing that would stop them is an overwhelming military threat.

Something is going on internally, because viewed externally, his actions make no sense. The TD-2 was his hole card, and he flipped it in exchange for zilch, in fact for negative value.

Actually, wouldn't it be safer not to be here in the islands?

Get me booked into a room in the Ewa Wing of the Halekulani, and I'll take my chances poolside!

Here's the original story, for those who speak Japanese. And the crude Google translation for those who don't.

I wonder who gave the paper the info.

Our American brothers of Samoan descent in our US Army would be more than happy to open a big can of ugly grease on the North Korean military.

His aim is bad, but that's not important now....(-;

Just kidding, but I think he wants a one-on-one with the US to shake us down for money and stuff.

He must thing GWB is Clinton.

Two things to note here:

1. Fighter bomber
2. Aircraft carrier

Both can really mess up your day.

Enough of the PATTY CAKE pondering by our administration...time to act! Words are cheap, and negotiations won't work with a dictator who literally starves his kingdom! Let the midget king eat TaepoDUNG!

North Korea long-range missile flew for 7 minutes, not 42 seconds: S. Korean military

I glanced at this thread yesterday.

If it flew for 7 minutes, it would have made it much further than the Sea of Japan.

So much misinformation is out there right now.

I contemplated the scenario as you did.
I'll risk a week of I'lls bombing right now,
if it will get me a view of ocean paradise!

Not if he wanted to monitor the reaction and capabilities of US/Japan forces. The next Scud array might carry neutralizing force against tracking so the TD-2 can escape detection in the launch phase.

Feint with the right, hook with the left.

Your do-it-yourself shelter might help against a low yield nuke, but one of the Rusky or Chicom nukes would probably incinerate anyone in it.

I've not read up on it lately, but I believe you have to be underground by a considerable distance to be safe these days, on the order of thirty feet or more.

Hopefully someone that has studied up on this will come by and address this issue.

"Something is going on internally"

I thought that too on the 4th. Why would he idiotically show all his cards, than a thought came...WHAT if this is an SOS by his military to bring the USA in a liberation type situation like Iraq...hmmm, makes you wonder!
