With his death from a massive heart attack on Wednesday, Ken Lay cheated justice. And then some. Not only will the Enron founder not end his days in prison, but according to legal precedent, his entire case will be erased from the records.

I wish I'd seen a photo of Ken Lay in prison washing dishes in an orange jumpsuit. He was a first-class thief (and a convicted one, whatever the "erasure" of the judgment of 12 of his peers) and deserved hard time.

I really don't understand the Left. If they were really gunning for this guy, why don't they just thank the Universe (Cindy Sheehan style) for passing the guy a death sentence and tap dance on his grave?

Instead, what they reveal is that they are bent on watching their targets (whomever they are and for whatever reasons) suffer for their own enjoyment. Doubtless, they think some human being robbed them of a special treat and are on the lookout for a scapegoat.

He cheated the Democrats out of an issue this fall, you mean. ;)

Ken Lay cheated justice

I'd say Our Lord did that...Ken had very little to do with it. He'd have rather live than die no matter where he was going to end up on earth.

Maybe we should take a page from the Russians note book and create a Lay's Tomb? Put him on display so everyone can walk by and spit on him or otherwise show their contempt for him.

He didn't cheat anything. He freakin' died.

The only people feeling cheated are the press who have been using all the misery the Enron fiasco caused to make money.

Geez. The libs are just dancing on the guy's grave, aren't they? He's paying the ultimate price for his misdeeds now.

That's my sentiment. But they aren't happy that he's dead. They wanted him to "pay. Nevermind that he'll never live to enjoy his misdeeds, the Left are upset that he's not alive to suffer at their hands.

Does anyone know exactly what Ken Lay did that Congress and the Democrats haven't already done to the rest of the population?

Yes, he at least gave his friends a reach around.

I think another thing they miss is the political opportunities of images of Lay in jail would have given them. They will now try to make the best of his death and improvise something out of it.

I don't know, when dying is your best play, I'd say you're pretty well played out.

Oh please Ken Lay did not run his business any different than government runs ours. Just look at social security you doubt that one, why isn't everybody alll upset with the figurative screwing we get with that pyramid scheme?

DIEING wasn't enough of a penance? Lefties are mean all the way inside. I wished Lay could have lived and had a chance to make good his life again and pay his debt.

I think that’s Oliver Cromwell you‘re referring to. He ruled the country once. That’s what happens if you try to ban mince pies!

Maybe so. He certainly should bear blame, since he was at the helm.

However, there were more chiefs than Indians at Enron - every large-scale scam requires them. Lay was probably guilty of knowingly letting it happen - but it took a LOT of scammers to MAKE it happen, and many of those folks are still alive, and within the reach of justice.

I AM! But every time I start to gather the pitchforks and torches after "Mr. Electable" turns on us, I get chased to the looney bin! ;-) :-D

Let's give libs strokes and hint that Lay faked his death and is living in splendor in Ecuador.
