LEWISTON — A 33-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly threw a severed pig's head into a Lewiston mosque while a group of Muslim men were praying.
The frozen pig's head was rolled into the Lewiston Auburn Islamic Center on Lisbon Street about 10:15 p.m. Monday, witnesses told the Sun Journal of Lewiston.
About 40 men were bowed down as part of their prayer ritual when the incident occurred. They got up and ran outside but were unable to locate anyone. None of the men was hit by the animal head.
Brent Matthews of Lewiston went to the police department Tuesday, told a detective he had thrown the head and was charged with desecration of a place of worship, a misdemeanor.
The charge is considered a hate-bias crime, so Matthews' case will be referred to the Attorney General's Office for further investigation, Lt. Don Mailhot said.
Pigs are considered unclean by Muslims, who are barred from eating pork, and the act was viewed as a deliberate insult upon the religion.
Lewiston police bagged the head as evidence and took it to the police station, witnesses said. Police Lt. Mark Watson said the head was then disposed of.
Matthews, who was out on bail, "admitted to doing it," Mailhot said. "He thought it was funny; it was going to be a big joke. The police department doesn't take anything like that lightly."
A friend of mine was very irritated the other night after going into the restroom of a fast food place where a person was using the sink to do his ablutions.
This took awhile, and got water everywhere, and nobody could wash their hands because of the person "hogging" up the sink.

Big deal. So it was frozen. Monday night pigs head bowling is traditional in Maine. If you don't want the frozen pigs head close the damn door.

But Maine has a real problem with this influx. Maine has the highest taxes and too many on welfare. Maine is also the second poorest state in the nation, behind Tennessee.
Gov John Baldacci along with Rep Tom Allen brought in all these Somali's to Lewiston Maine. Last I heard, only 45 out of the 2,000 have jobs. The rest are living off of our welfare system.

Immigration lawyers supporting illegal aliens are pushing Governor Baldacci to sign an executive order that will stop state agencies from questioning a person's immigration status.
Even more unsettling is the title of the order: AN ORDER REGARDING INQUIRIES INTO IMMIGRATION STATUS. It reads, "I, John E. Baldacci, Governor of the State of Maine, do hereby order that no State agencies question any person about his or her immigration status and engage in any activities for the purpose of ascertaining the immigration status of any person."
BALDACCI AND ALLEN SEEK FEDERAL ASSISTANCE TO ADDRESS INFLUX OF SOMALI IMMIGRANTS
Representatives Baldacci and Allen called for $100,000 in funding to enable Catholic Charities of Maine to provide needed services to Somali immigrants in Lewiston and other communities. Catholic Charities provides outreach and assistance to refugees and immigrants.
Maine has a hard time finding work and feeding their own. Yet Baldacci and Allen want an INFLUX of immigrants! What's up with this!
Baldacci and Tom Allen) are big spenders of taxpayer dollars.
You know, I have found that just downloading and distributing their immigration voting records is effective in converting most Democrats I know to the Republican side.
People just didn't know--and they are often shocked. No one wants more of the same, not to mention more budget problems.
They have voted in every way possible for:
1. annual net immigration of 1.3 million poor, illiterate people from third world countries, who are overcrowding American schools, depressing wages for American workers, contributing to one-half of all sprawl, overwhelming American hospitals, and reproducing babies at rates 3 to 45 times the rate of Americans, not to mention fiscally breaking the backs of American state and local governments and the American taxpayers.
2. They have repeatedly voted to extend amnesty to illegal aliens (8 to 11 million of them in the country now).
3. They have repeatedly voted in support of H1B visas, displacing 1 million American technical workers and resulting in no job opportunities for recent American college grads. And they continue to support an increase in the number of h1B visas.
4. They have each played a major role in preventing any efforts brought about by members of Congress who, in accordance with the wishes of 70% of the American people, sought to bring about even the slightest immigration reform in terms of lower refugee and immigrant numbers.
5. They have repeatedly voted in favor of chain migration, where the elderly, social-security-collecting parents, husbands, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, married children and so on, are guaranteed entry into America consequent to one migrant. (the young working chinese have turned social security into a commodity industry for their elderly parents)
6.They have voted for automatic citizenship for any child born to illegal immigrants on American soil. This has resulted in foreign businesses where pregnant women from poor countries like China and Africa pay to be flown here just when they're about to deliver.
And then there is the Somali situation in Lewiston.
What a coward is Mr. Baldacci.

No, what "would" have been funny would have been if he put cameras in the eyes that glowed red, and rigged the mouth with servos and a speaker.
Now, what would you make the pig say?
No....I don't think they would. If he had gone out and bought his own crucifix and peed on it, the ACLU would have defended him. I might have too...it would be his crucifx after all.
Not all Muslims want to kill us. I know there's parts of the Koran that tell them to make war on infidels, but does every Christian toe the line on every edict in the bible? There's a number of Muslims who live here, like it here and just want to practice thier religeon like anyone else. They don't want to blow things up, they don't want to cut off our heads and they don't want to murder your sister for driving herself to work and letting people see her ankles when she walks down the street.
Tossing a pig's head into a Mosque is just a stupid thing to do.

Some muslims consider Jews to be the subhuman offspring of pigs and monkeys. As such, they find it a deliberate insult to their religion of their daughter were to marry one.
Islam itself is intolerant.

Thoughtcrime laws are garbage. They are not equally applied.
A few years ago, I went back to finish my college education. I went to a community college in suburban Minneapolis.
This cmnty college has a lot of Somalis attending it. So many of them were doing their ablutions in bathrooms, splashing soap and water everywhere, that the administration had to post signs telling them to go to the gym's locker room.
It reduced the problem somewhat but a great many decided that they were gonna do their ablutions where ever the F*** they felt like it - the rest of us non-believers would just have to tolerate their diversity.
Give this guy a testimonial banquet.
