Hilary Suddenly Has '08 Jitters (she’s beatable in Iowa)
NY Post ^ | July 6, 2006 | Deborah Orin

SUDDENLY, it looks as if Hillary Clinton is running scared over 2008. A batch of Hillaryland moves over the past few weeks suggests a nervous- Nellie president wannabe rather than a confident Democratic front-runner. She hired a lefty blogger and cozied up to anti-war activists by pledging to desert pal Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) if he loses a primary over Iraq and runs as an independent.

To boot, hubby Bill Clinton went out to court activists in the first-test states of Iowa and New Hampshire by vowing that his wife supports their favored positions SUDDENLY, it looks as if Hillary Clinton is running scared over 2008. but IMHO Hillary is beatable anywhere, not just in Iowa.

Yes but, many people here are willing to back any old RINO just so we can beat her.

Never liked Dick Morris much anyway, but as regards talking out both sides of your mouth, he has that covered every time he opens his mouth.
His lips / mouth kind of roll around in a circle.

This should be fun to watch if she DOESN'T get the nomination, since she and BlowJobBilly control the funds and the media, it could get REALLY ugly!
I suspect that their are a lot of dems out there who know she can't win and really don't want to have her as a candidate, should be interesting to see if they have the intestinal fortitude to say it out loud.

I've been pinging quite a few of my in-laws about Hillary as a candidate in '08.

How many in-laws you got?

****Why did I read it twice by reading it once?****

You were having deja vu all over again - just like I did.

My head started spinning so I clicked the article to read. That did the trick.

:-)

Democratic operatives say the sea change is due to the June poll in the 2008 first-test state of Iowa, which showed Clinton trailing former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards.

Losing to Silky Pony! That's gotta hurt!

Wouldn't it be sweet if Hillary! lost Iowa and her support fell apart. Then she would be there sitting on a huge pile of money, and her only play would be to savage every other Donk prospect in order to win the nomination by attrition. The eventual Donk nominee would be severely battered and bloodied, and you can be certain the Clintonistas would be in no mood to play nice with the man who bests Hillary!. The result is a fractured and bankrupt Democrat Party with a damaged candidate limping into the Fall.

Why should the 'Pubbies bother to destroy the Democrat Party when the Clintons will do it for them?

She and Bill just suck the air out of any other candidate's campaign. (Excuse the pun.)

I would certainly say that the "bathtub ring" of scandal and Clinton fatigue, as well as Hillary's siphoning off funds and publicity for her Senate run, could well have cost Al Gore the election in 2000. (Thank God for that!)

They hurt their own party!

...Actually worked out well for the GOP because with Dean destroying the DNC, I 'll lay odds that the GOP not only holds the house and Senate, but may actually gain seats.

I'm with you. I'm standing by my tag-line. I am even willing to engage in friendly wager...

Well, well, well ain't that a fact.
When Bill ClinToon became President, the DRats controlled the House, Senate... and the press.
All that's left..... the press.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I hope the Clinton "dynasty" is already over.

Noooooo! Not Yet!

The Democrat Party's still breathing!!!

Why does the NYP misspell "Hillary"?

I don't know why, but I've seen people leave the "T" in "Hitlery" out before. :)

How can you be considered a vioable Presidential Candidate if your only qualification is a nice head of hair.

Worked for JFK.

The column says Kerry won Iowa in 2000. That must be a mistake for 2004--I don't recall there being any serious candidates at that stage on the Democrat side in 2000 other than Al Gore and Bill Bradley.
