"This is just a guess, but 40 seconds is actually pretty good for a first shot out of the box. Don't think the first stage would have been expended by then, though, so they likely aren't past the multi-stage handoff part yet -- a significant milestone." Yet another "brilliant" post from AlanCarp.
NEWSFLASH: NK's 1998 missile test was 3 stages. The multi-stage milestone was passed in the previous millenium.
Wait. Let me guess. You're one of those who bad-mouthed our missile defense system. You've got something at stake here; you can't allow anyone to think that we shot down NK's latest long-range missile??
Just a hunch. Flame away, Mr. Rocket Scientist.

Your hunch is also highly misplaced is this half-baked post. And feel free to search my posts before guessing: I've actually never posted anything about our missile defense system, but believe me (likely you won't, given the attitude): I'm all for it and I want to see it deployed ASAP.
By the way, I meant that they didn't get past the multi-stage handoff on this missile model. Sheesh, you're all about the personal attack opportunities so much that you don't cut anybody any slack. Try and remember who the enemies of the US are... and it sure as heck ain't me.
