New Yorker Mark Kurlansky food writer.
Mark Kurlansky's book, Cod: A Biography of the Fish That Changed the World
''I love watching people eat. I get frustrated when I read history and they don't tell you what they were eating. I mean what were they serving at Versailles as they were hammering out that treaty?"
While it's very true that the FF were only creating rights for white, property owning men (and this is said by a USA loving, flag waving veteran's daughter), they still created the basis for the best country on earth. I don't see people beating down doors to immigrate to other countries like they do this one. I have instilled love of the flag, standing during the National Anthem, respect for vets and the priviledge of voting to my two sons. They know what a wonderful thing it is to be live in this country.
And we had 10 flags in our yard, porch and gardens yesterday!
Our flag flies year round.

Same here.
My neighbors and I are both greatful that he does not want to associate with us. We all hate having to be being rude, even with total jerks like this clown.
These people are really full of themselves.
Maybe the "Independent" voters will finally notice that the only soldiers the press cares about are the dead ones, the ones who lost limbs and the ones they can charge with rape, murder and torture.
They're all hunting for their May Lai. And if they can't find one...they'll create one.
Oh yeh...great liberal progressive ideas as
Abortion, Gay Marriages, Flag burnings, Censuring religious expression, Legalize marijuana, anti-military, tax and spend....etc...etc...

Well, of course, you Neanderthal, while we're running around dragging our knuckles, the enlightened ones are building us a Brave New World. Show a little gratitude. Always remember that their superiority allows them to grasp concepts that are beyond our meager understanding.
Note to Mark Kurlansky,....

Excellent points and well stated.
My daughter's history teacher said much the same thing. Made the class write an essay on how America was 'founded on inequality'.

OMW! What did you do?
